TempPro TP49 3 Pack Digital Hygrometer Indoor Thermometer

We have Ecobee thermostats that control two of our heat pumps and a Honeywell that controls a third. I noticed that the one in our main bedroom was showing high humidity and temperature which seemed at odds with the rest of the house. I bought these thermometer/ humidity units to test against the Ecobee. Both units read at times one or two points different on the humidity, for example 42% and 43% and the temperature is either the same or 0.1 different. I compared them with two instant read kitchen thermometers and they registered the same temperature. Obviously, positioning will influence the readings for comparison purposes. I know this is not truly scientific just positioning the units alongside or on too of thermostats but good enough to show the Ecobee temperature reading was consistently five degrees higher and the humidity 18 points higher. Measured next to the Honeywell thermostat the humidity was the same. On the dehumidifier bought as a result of the Ecobee readings it was just a percentage point or two different. Good enough for me. I could have tested the humidity measurement more scientifically but I just wanted a rough and ready guide for which these units seem perfect. Worked well enough to get A over to send a replacement thermostat which reads more accurately. The units are compact with a little fold-out stand and a magnet that is strong enough as I tested them on a wall light and they held up perfectly. Readability is fine although there is no backlighting option. A little happy face emoji appears when humidity is good. Can't comment on battery life but I'd imagine it will be fine and worst case would involve changing out the no-name batteries supplied. I definitely recommend this item.

As you can see from my photo, they are VERY consistent with each other. The temperatures indicate within 1 degree of a very accurate thermometer of mine. As for the humidity levels, I have no other hygrometer with which to compare readings. But since they're so consistent, and based on most reviews, I suspect they are accurate, or at least very close. Readability is excellent if there is good DIRECT light on the screens. However, in a not-so-well-lit room the readability falls sharply for my older eyes. Even in a relatively well-lit room, the display isn't so easy to read if it faces away from the light source. There's a convenient push button on the back to go from Centigrade to Fahrenheit, or vice versa. Back there you'll also find a convenient fold-down kickstand, and a plenty-strong magnet to attach the device to steel and/or some magnetic stainless steels. I particularly appreciate that each of these are powered by a common, easy to find, AAA battery. So, I'm able to use my rechargeable Tenergy batteries - also bought here on Amazon. I can't yet comment on how long a rechargeable will last, especially since they are 1.2 volts, not 1.5 like non-rechargeables. But, with a freshly charged one, the display is just as distinct/sharp as with a standard 1.5 volt battery. So, I feel I can honestly recommend these for price, function and convenience. However, long-term reliability still remains to be seen. I will update this listing as time passes to let you know if they are holding up as well as I would hope. UPDATE: I've had these for over 2 years now, and they continue to work perfectly - even out in my hot, or cold, or hot and humid open-air sunroom! It turns out that 1.2-volt Tenergy rechargeable batteries keep each unit working great for a few months at a time before needing recharging. But be aware that the display all but disappears if it's kept in a freezing cold place, like my sunroom in winter.

So far so good. You get temperature and humidity. Simple to use. Good price.

Overall I like these meters. Did find different readings in the house, so decided to put them next to each other. Refer to the photo - after waiting an hour got these results. The temp reading within 1 degree - Good!. The humidity reading had a bigger "gap". The question becomes "what is the actual humidity?" Each unit is reporting a different humidity level. The cost of these is reasonable so I am "OK" with a 4 point swing in the humidity level.

I bought these for my 90 year old mother and she loves them. Old people like the temp and humidity numbers! She placed them all around her place and she’s thrilled to know what’s going on.

Very accurate, small and compact, and I love that it also tells me the humidity. Great product for a good price!

Just purchased the 4 pack of the Tempro digital Hygrometer/Thermometer. Installed the batteries and let them sit side-by-side for a couple hours and as the picture shows, temperatures were within a half degree and humidity within 1% of each other. Then set one outside on a screened in porch on a window ledge and checked it's readings vs the National weather service website several times and temp/humidity were within a couple points on both readings. Very pleased.

I wasn't sure what to expect. But, I use daily. Seems to be accurate. I would buy again.

These hygrometers work great! I have them placed throughout my house to monitor the temperature and humidity in different rooms. The displays are clear and easy to read at a glance, and they provide consistent, reliable readings. They're compact, easy to set up, and perfect for keeping an eye on indoor conditions. The three-pack is a great value since I can monitor multiple areas of my home. I'm very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend them.
