Self-working Mental Magic: Sixty-seven Foolproof Mind Reading Tricks (Dover Magic Books)

This is NOT mentalism, but mental magic. This book will not make you the next Derren Brown or Uri Geller. But at the same time it offers you the chance to perform tricks with a mental twist, that almost anyone can do. ALL of Karls books are worth the money & deserving of 5 stars & each book has at least one trick that with some thought & performance skill can be a real reputation earner.

Excellent book for the price. Some great material in here for a working mentalist or hobbyist :)

Not bad at all. Many of the effects are already public domain but enough newstuff (new to me) to justify the low price you can get the book for.

The tricks in this book are pretty basic as mentalism goes. Mentalism generally relies on people peeking what has been written/drawn, having multiple get-outs or reducing the choice and this book covers most of those methods pretty well. I'd say most of them are more puzzlers than potential evidence of something psychic. Maybe that's because I'm well versed in magic. It would certainly be a good starting point for someone new to mental magic.

Fulves is my favourite magic author as he describes how to execute his magic with great lucidity so that a beginner can easily produce a good entertaining show for the family.

This is really a general magic book rather than one specialising in mentalism. As such it has some good material and, for the price, is reasonable.

Viele, nette, mentale Tricks, die viele laymen sehr beeindrucken sollten. Alles gut sortiert, so das man viele Effekte, recht schnell, zu einer kleinen, bis größeren Routine zusammenbauen kann. Excellent für Anfänger geeignet

Great book. I dunno ,there were many reviews before, all got removed somehow. Anyways this book was underrated. It is fantastic. Only reason why it didn't get 5/5 is that some tricks need to be modified. 3-4 tricks won't work these days. Otherwise, the ideas it suggests are brilliant. Book tests to confederates to cards to ESP. For some people self working might scare away. So was I. But the name is not correct few are SELF WORKING .the principles employed are easy. Just a few changes and tricks become good which is not too difficult when you have the brains.
