Solid keyboard
Solid keyboard that does exactly what it's supposed to. The build quality feels decent, the keys are comfortable enough for everyday use, and it's been reliable so far. There's nothing particularly special or premium about it, but at this price point, I wouldn't expect there to be. Overall, it's a good value option if you just need a straightforward keyboard that gets the job done.

The Perfect keyboard - No Fuss, Quality!
I purchased this keyboard from Amazon in 2019. It's an industry standard Model M UK IBM keyboard. No silly keys, or lights. No unnecessary back light. Its has proper keys with a little bit of travel, and is exactly how a keyboard should be. It's exactly the right size and dimensions for most humans. It's a UK layout, so perfect for us Brits, with the keys you'd want in the right place, and because everything is in the right place, I find I can type much faster. I've been working on it for 7 years now, and it is indestructible. No characters have worn of the keys, and everyone still works perfectly.

I like this keyboard....but.....
I've always liked Kensington kit, so when I had to replace a Microsoft 600 keyboard, and found this at an excellent price, I grabbed it. I like the action, it's clicky in a quiet way, OK I miss the "Calculator key" from the MS keyboard, but the reason I've marked it down from 5 to 4 stars, and given the Ergonomics only 3 stars is as follows: On both keyboards, the Caps Lock key is the same width and depth. However, on the MS keyboard, the Caps Lock key has a central raised area, but the main part of the key is effectively lower. On this Kensington, the whole area is the same height. (Pictures attached - Kensington on RHS) What this means is that I am constantly switching Caps Lock on unintentionally. Now this may well be my own clumsiness, but I've never experienced it with ANY other keyboard. I have two Dell keyboards and an old BENQ one and all have the "dual-height" Caps Lock key. As ergonomics are so important with keyboards and mice I feel obliged to mark it down.

Happy with purchase
Great keyboard. Nice size and easy to use. Light so good for transport or on the move. Use it frequently and no issues with durability. Definitely good value for money.

Everything a basic 'workhorse' keyboard should be...
While moving house recently, I lost my usual keyboard in storage and needed a quick, temporary replacement to get some work done until it appeared. I had absolutely no expectations but took a chance, and if it was poor quality, what's a tenner? In a nutshell; I'm really impressed! It's everything a good, basic keyboard should be. The keys have a nice, chunky feel, travel and click to them. They feel solid too, and I can't foresee any reliability issues. The number pad is always nice to have, and there are no features missing at all. I am used to a 'rest' at the front of the keyboard which would make it far more ergonomic, but that's subjective. I, like many of you, have spent well over 10X the price of this keyboard on premium Bluetooth and wireless keyboards and after buying this, I'm questioning ever doing that again. It's the classic dilemma of WANT vs NEED. For me, honestly, this is all I 'need' in a keyboard. I don't write many reviews but how often do you buy a 'workhorse' item which could last years, for a tenner nowadays? It's nice to get a bargain! If you're not a gear snob, and just want a reliable, functional keyboard that works... Look no further.

Did not survive A beer spill.
I had this keyboard for 7 months, unfortunately, it died on the 6th of April, 2022. It was a good keyboard, served me well, and felt alright. From my personal experience, It can't survive spills well. It did survive the first two alright, but it died to a can of fosters that spilled on it and I was unable to recover the qwerty row of the keyboard. I did the standard thing I usually do, which is to disassemble it (you must be patient when doing this.) and I cleaned all the liquid off all the parts and let it dry for a day. It did work again, but the qwerty row could not be recovered. You can expect this keyboard to last for months, even a year or more if you're careful unlike me. I do recommend this if you don't want to spend money on a high-end keyboard.

Fait le job
Très agréable à l'utilisation. Peu bruyant, je frappe relativement vite au clavier, et la précision des frappes est plus que satisfaisante. Je recommande pour ceux pour qui le filaire ne pose pas de problème.

Good while it lasted.
The Kensington 1500109 Value Wired Keyboard was purchased due to the fact my Dell computer was purchased in Portugal and so came with a Portuguese character keyboard. I managed as I set the language to English, but had to remember where special characters were on the keys as they were printed differently. The Kensington solved this issue although a little wider than the Dell one as can be seen in the picture. The keyboard itself was nice to use, the key were soft and easy to type and the elevated legs on the back gave the board just the right elevation to ease strain on the wrists. Unfortunately, after 16 months, the space bar and some of the central keys have failed to work, (I only found this out when trying to sign in and it not accepting my password!) It has had very little occasional use as the pc is only used to submit bills once a month. A shame really, but I'm back to using the original Dell one (bottom of the picture).
