Great Watch! Hoping for some minor things next time...
This is really a great watch! The battery life is pretty great, the sensors are great for every day users, and the best part is how classy this watch looks. This watch actually works decently for fitness tracking. It is absolutely no replacement to a dedicated fitness watch like the 255 and 955, but even though it leaves me for wanting what those watches provide, it gives me more than I could have ever hoped for in its fitness abilities. Its sleep/awake tracking is scarily accurate. And its heart rate sensor is fairly good too. I do wish they had used their latest heart rate sensor because even though this is more accurate than many other devices out there, it still makes me question how accurate the reading is because I know it's not Garmin's best/latest iteration. Obviously if you are getting this watch though, it is mostly because of the design. And the design is precisely why I bought this watch and encourage anyone else with high taste to do the same. You will definitely want to get a classier looking watch strap than the one that comes with the watch, but the one provided with the watch works great for any fitness tracking you wish to do with the watch. I do, however, have a couple things that I really wish Garmin would improve. This watch is a different entry than the Garmin Style and Garmin Luxe, so I can forgive the plastic case to an extent. But a new watch with a gold/rose gold/silver/etc. case is long overdue. I like the design of this watch except for the plastic case (which still looks trendy, but not as classy as I would hope), but I still ended up getting this watch because the Style and Luxe are so outdated. I love the fact you can get notifications and even reply to notifications on-screen. I like the pre-set notifications, but I would like to see the ability to give full replies like my 7-year older Android Wear watch could provide. A speak to text option would be even better. These are options that I'm sure would be doable for a watch like this (so long as the microphone wouldn't ruin the design). My final suggestion would be to open this watch up to the app store. It has a full screen, and many apps and custom watch faces could still be added to this watch, even if they are more limited in options. In a perfect dream world, GPS, better battery life, and everything else that the 955 provides would be incredible to have in a watch like this, even if I had to pay more. But I understand the limits due to design, and I would prefer the design of this as a daily wearable over the 955 any day. But I will continue to use the 255 (eventually the 965 when it comes out) as my only fitness tracking watch when I receive it because it can do so much more. Hope this review helps!

Stylish and worth the price
Love this watch! Purchased it to wear as a more “elegant” smart watch and it’s very stylish in person. Always receive compliments when I wear it. I do own a Garmin Forerunner 965 and this watch is definitely not as high the tech as the Forerunner, but it does its job. You can record workout activities, it tracks your heart rate and sleep, and many other things. The only downside is the battery life. It only lasts 3-4 days when wearing 24 hours a day, compared to 14 days with the Forerunner. For the price, it’s perfect!

Very Happy with this watch
I previously had a 'W----' hybrid watch and it started to fail. To read messages, it puts the hands at '10 of 2' to avoid covering the display. Then, the hands will return to the time. This happens multiple times a day, and eventually the minute hand stopped syncing reliably. It got to the point where the minute hand had slipped and had to be position calibrated on a daily basis. This is a risk of a hybrid watch, but I do like having the hands, and bought the ivory Garmin watch with silver face. It provides much more display space that my prior hybrid and provides more extensive at-a-glance information than my prior one. When I discovered the Techie watch face, with Complication 2 (you'll understand once you buy one) my favor for this watch went up as it displays all I couldn't do on my prior watch. This watch sets the hand to 1/4 to 3 to prevent them obscuring the display. Good Things Comfortable. lightweight, unusual color scheme Display shows digital time, date and day, steps count, and percent power remaining Display is invisible when off, crisp when on, and good in sunlight Lasts about 5 days between charges Neat, simple display, no winder Touch screen to select features It counts steps generously! My prior watch would undercount steps (a known defect). I verified this with an independent pedometer after my sisters watch reported more steps than mine when we were out one day. I need to get the pedometer out to check this one, but suspect its' count is high. Not so good things While it reports when I receive a text, the hands go to 1/4 to 3, so you can't tell when the text came in! It keeps congratulating me for some achievement, but does not tell me what I unwittingly accomplished. The word Garmin is in gold at the 9 o'clock position. I've confused that with the hour hand..... The application takes a while to synchronize on the phone I do not favor the charging clip that has a jaw mechanism to grip the watch while attached to a power source. It claims to support non-contact charging, but when I tried it I couldn't get it to work. The application on the phone claims to estimate your fitness age and is shaming me by saying my fitness age is two years older than my actual age! Overall I think this was a good purchase. I have the watch hands I favor and all the information I'm interested in light up when I tilt my wrist.

Functional and stylish
Love it! Has a battery life of several days and can charge very quickly on the rare occasion I take it off. Value for money is incredible, it's lightweight, incredibly accurate, and easy to navigate. I love that it's durable enough to not have a single scratch while I wear it constantly, and it looks great with casual and formal wear alike. I was looking for a smartwatch that didn't look tacky, and this is absolutely it!

This was a gift for my wife who isn't tech-intuitive and she loves it. Does everything her Venu SQ did and more but looks more stylish and is as easy to use. Arrived the next day, works as expected.
