Best book we have bought our children so far.
brilliant brilliant book for children. my daughter aged 4 loves this book and picks it instead of a bedtime story. The illustrations are wonderful - they are simple but full of facts and she seems to have absorbed this book almost by osmosis. She was telling me all about the hairs in your nose and why we have them (using garbled 4 year old language with the odd scientific word dropped in) - I think I only read this bit once before! she now has a whole load of really useful and interesting knowledge that will form a great foundation for future learning in biology and science. As a doctor I can vouch for it - and I have only spotted one very minor error involving a mix up in flaps see if you can spot it too.... I have pre-ordered 2 dinosaurs - another book in this series on the strength of this one.

surpisingly good for very young children too
Ordered this for my grandsons, ages 2 and 4. They both LOVE it! The first lift-the-flap book in this series, about the ocean, was a huge hit, and prompted me to order this one. Plan to get all of the books by this publisher in this lift-the-flap format.

Perfect for 5-Year-Old Grandson
My little grandson in Kindergarten is very interested in how the human body and its parts work, so I ordered this book for him, and he is obsessed with it. It is just the right thing for his level, with appealing pictures and appropriate explanations. The pull-up flaps are appealing, too.

Great Flaps! Perfect for curious kids!
My 5 year old is obsessed with this book. We read it several nights a week before bed. She loved opening the flaps and has discovered what the gluteus Maximus is - a hysterical idea for a 5 year old. I'm pleased as we have come back to this book over and over again. Would definitely recommend.
