Why did you pick this product vs others?: I've bought several sets of these for me & my buddies. We all use them to communicate in the desert when riding our SXSs on the trails in SW AZ. They are rugged, extremely durable and outperform the Rugged/Baofeng units by a huge margin! They have proven their worth to me after at least 5 years of use. I lend them out all the time. One radio bounced out of my buddy's machine, landed in the trail and I watched the guy behind him run over it with both tires. I picked it up and it has continued to function flawlessly. I own several of these radios. Love them. Easy to program first of all forget the warranty you won't be returning it because you will be too busy enjoying it. The two radios with programing cable the extra batteries and hand mikes are to good a deal for me to pass up. If anyone has any problems with programming hit me up.

nice little radio, would be great for event operations BUT on the one I got at least, the mic worked sometimes, and sometimes not. I returned it, but may reorder in the Spring, once events get going again. Hopefully by then TYT will have their act together on the mic. Easy enough to program by hand (a must in my book), and I even now have step by step instructions written out.

These radios are working great, they have a good solid feel to them.
