Great value for money
a lot better made then the MK11, best bit is the ability to cancel the recycling beep, i use them for recruitment days and take over 2000 head shots in 6 hours never let me down or over heated. powerful for what I need, i have 4 i use 3 for a lastolight background set at f16 and 1 to shoot the portraits at f9 in a large octolight. great value for money.

I own a pair of Elinchroom 400watt strobes that I use for my studio, and they are more than sufficient for the small space that I use for portraits. What I needed was background lighting for when I shot with an all white vinyl backdrop, so I did some research and decided to go with these. While the Cowboy Studio strobes are cheaper in price, the bulbs are not replaceable, so when they go out, you have to replace the entire strobe. These bulbs are replaceable, although I haven't had to replace one yet. The light stands aren't super heavy duty, but they are better than the lowest quality stands that come with the cheaper sets. I use sandbags on these light stands as well as my with my better quality Manfrotto stands, because toddlers and children are full of energy. If little clients aren't present, I don't use the sand bags, and these light stands are just fine. Haven't used them outdoors, but I would always recommend using sandbags for outdoor setups, unless you're sure there will be no wind whatsoever. Because my Elinchroom strobes use their brand of wireless trigger, I have not used the sync cables that came with the product, so I cannot comment on their function or durability or compatibility for that matter. My wireless transmitter doesn't actually fire the Interfit strobes, so I set them to slave and the Elinchrooms set them off, I don't think I've had a misfire yet. The power on these little strobes is amazing, I worried that 150 watts wouldn't be enough, but I don't think I've had to fire them at full power yet, and that's even with shooting a white backdrop. Fully adjustable power dial, makes it great to choose the level of light you need. That annoying little beep that so many strobes come with to let you know that the strobe is recycled has an on/off switch, so you can choose to hear the beep or not. Softbox is of good quality, as is the umbrella. It's a rather harsh light if you're not using a diffuser, so depending on your shooting style, you might want to invest in some other diffusers (I have umbrellas from other manufacturers that I've used with these strobes). Cords are long enough to move around easily, kit comes with a DVD that explains set up and some shooting tips, although I didn't watch past the set up instructions. I've owned this set for almost 4 months and really couldn't be happier with it. For beginning photographers on a budget, look no further. This set is very good for the price, and Interfit delivers a quality, yet more affordable alternative to expensive lighting kits that most can't afford.

I am no professional when it comes to studio lights but these lights work for what I need now. The Interfit lights are nice and a good buy for beginners. I use yougnuo triggers on both and they have been working fine. Lights are constructed well enough for my current needs.

First off one of there strobes that came to me was fried. It shorted out the moment I turned it on. But the other one worked well enough. This is a very basic kit that will get you decent results. But if you want something that will last I would probably get some alien bees Oro something that will last longer.

These lights work as well as more expensive ones. Some people go by brand name, but for most jobs these lights will be enough.
