Container Gardening: 250 Design Ideas & Step-by-Step Techniques

This is an excellent book with not only pictures of example designs but also solid information on what helps your containers to succeed. There is pot size and shape advice, plant combinations for sun or shade, annual or perennial, trees or cactus. Information on soil and fertilizer and drip irrigation. If you want only one container gardening book, this is the one to buy!

I have been collecting many books on container gardening recently for seminars I was giving, and of them all, this book "Container Gardening: 250 Design Ideas and Step-by-step Techniques" was really superior. The pictures are breathtaking and all the design ideas were carefully explained and were definitely doable. they used plants that are available unlike some books that use more exotic plants. I had a good experience buying this book, too. It came very quickly and was a very good price. All in all, I give this all the stars available!!!! If you only want to get one book on container gardening, this would be the one.

Very good book. Good tips and designs, even though some plants are hard to come by. I had it from the library for a long time. Looking forward to owning it, however it looked creased and bent! Like someone used it to write something. List it as used for discount if that's the case. Glad it didn't have a smell or was stained. I like when I buy new books that they look new.

I do container gardening on my deck only but have planter in strategic places around my house. I enjoyed the book .It has great photos and ideas on how to put together stunning pots and explains the pros and cons of using different types of planters (what they are made of plastic ,cement ,resin etc. ) Also tells you which plants do well in containers. I enjoy the book and am glad I purchased it.

Wonderful ideas for combining different plants together in containers

I loved the color combo suggestions reminding me of some plants that I was able to easily find. Gorgeous pictures. Great job identifying each plant needed and describing the ideal planting conditions. Good tips about keeping your new container arrangements healthy and long lasting. Full of helpful tips, easy to follow directions, and beautiful photographs. Highly recommend.

This is a superb book on container gardening from both a design and plant material standpoint. The plants featured are easily obtained and used in stunning combinations and arrangements. The contributors have written literate, succinct text which is very well illustrated by the gorgeous photographs. I was really impressed by the breadth of the material presented, the clarity of the text and plant designs and the layout of the book itself. Highly recommended and a cut above most of the how-to container planting books out there. The 20 contributors included really know their stuff.

If your into creating big displays in your garden, front porch, or walkways , this is the book to get your imagination running wild.

Great ideas and illustrations but unfortunately for the American market

I wanted to start container gardening. I had no idea how to start. Of all the books I checked out, this one was the best in every way. It is truly a step-by-step technique & offers so many ideas of what works. If you can only buy one book on container gardening then I highly recommend this book. You will not be disappointed.
