Solid, easy to set-up/tear-down, looks great - budget friendly too
If you off-set your toms on a 2-up kit, or just have 1-up with multiple cymbals, this can save a lot of floor clutter, setup time and really tidy up the stage. I'm not sure I'd bother using this if it was for one tom and a single cymbal stand as it'll be heavier and you're not really saving much time/space. I run 2 off-set toms, a crash and a splash on one end and it's still stable, though there is a little bit of flex at the clamp. Took a while to fiddle around and get everything both in the right place and well balanced, with all the adjust-ability, you can be tweaking for ages to get things right, but once done it's really easy to get consistent setups. It includes memory locks for the legs, but you may need to buy additional ones for your cymbal and snare stand, As you can use your existing snare basket and cymbal stands, you can save money over the version that includes these. The only issue I'm aware of is there's one pub we gig in which has very uneven cobbled-floor and I can see stability being a problem if your floor isn't flat.

You won't regret it
Great piece of kit. Steady as a rock. Is holding two hanging toms (14" & 16") and three cymbals all off two pre-existing cymbal stands that fitted beautifully with the enclosed different sized interchangeable washers. Took about 1 hour to get it the way I wanted it but I'm now confident nothing will fall over like they did when I had the toms hanging off the cymbal stands. Waiting to buy the Tom and snare version next.

MISSING PARTS don't touch it!
This arrived MISSING a snare basket. It was advertised with two, the box said two, but only one basket was included. I haven't sent it back as I need to use it, but I'm VERY upset at this fraudulent advertising..........it will now cost me another £80 to replace the missing part!

I love this system. This is the second one I bought. It gives you a rack system with a small footprint and eliminates the need for multiple stands. It's easy to teardown, haul and set up. I also really like he snare basket on this model as it has a ball adjustment that quickly adjusts to any position. There are no teeth that limits the angle of adjustment. Please note; the model with two snare baskets does not have the ball adjustment. If you want two snare baskets I suggest you buy this model and then use a snare basket from one of your other stands as the second basket. Also check out the side mount Stealth rack for you cymbals, it is equally as good.

I picked up the Gibraltar GSVMS Stealth Vertical Mounting System to streamline my drum setup, and it’s been a game‑changer. Traditional racks can feel oversized and heavy, but this system delivers the same stability in a much smaller footprint. It fits neatly around my kit without blocking the view of the drums, which makes the whole setup look cleaner and more professional. The build quality is excellent. The vertical bars and cross support feel solid, and once everything is locked in, there’s no wobble. I mounted toms and a snare basket with ease, and the tube receivers (¾″ and ⅞″) give plenty of flexibility for adding or removing components. Whether you’re running a compact 4‑piece kit or a larger double‑kick setup, this system adapts without issue. Functionality: This is where the Stealth VMS really shines. It replaces multiple tripod stands with a single, low‑profile system that keeps everything exactly where you want it. The vertical mounting design allows you to position toms, snares, and cymbals at precise angles without cluttering the floor space. It’s easy to adjust, and once tightened, the clamps hold firmly through long practice sessions or live gigs. The reduced footprint also makes it easier to transport and set up quickly — a huge advantage if you’re playing shows or moving gear often. One of the biggest advantages is space‑saving design. On stage, it reduces clutter compared to multiple tripod stands, and for practice spaces it makes moving around the kit much easier. It also cuts down on weight when transporting gear, which is a huge plus if you gig regularly. Value for Money: At around $200–$220, this system is worth every penny. You’re essentially getting the strength of a rack with less bulk, and the customization options mean you won’t outgrow it as your kit evolves. Compared to piecing together multiple heavy stands, this is a smarter investment. If I had to note one limitation, it’s that setup takes a bit of planning the first time — you’ll want to experiment with positioning to get everything exactly where you like it. But once dialed in, it’s rock solid. Overall, the Gibraltar GSVMS Stealth VMS is a sturdy, flexible, and compact mounting solution that keeps your kit stable while saving space. For drummers who want rack‑level support without the rack‑level bulk, this is an excellent buy.
