Authentic Panettone in Tin (Original)

Love that we can get these on-line now. Proper Italian Panettone. My Italian friend from Milan is impressed we can get them here. Okay, you will pay a bit more for this in the tin, than you would from a bakery in Milan (Italy). Yet, buying here is cheaper than going to Italy. I have tried supermarket versions and they are nice, but the drier fruit and texture is nicer in this version. Yes, its more money but if you price it against one in a cardboardbox when its on offer, there isn't much difference in price and you get a nice tin. Tins: Some Panettone tins have a hole in the side for a handle, but the product is always well wrapped and sealed. These make great storage for kitchen or garden shed. You could clean them out and use them for statement storage. Could use as a planter, but they are metal and will corrode. I often use them as an alternative to gift wrap for transporting home made churtneys, soaps, etc. Tin is recycled at Metal waste.

This panettone is really delicious either spread with butter or makes lovely toast for breakfast. It was generously large in a lovely red tin and delivered next day. I can thoroughly recommend it as it has to be an authentic Italian panettone as it is the best I’ve tasted.

I bought one in November for Xmas. We all scoffed the lot over the holidays. Then bought one in Feb and still fresh. Just bought another one yesterday and still moist and fresh. Luckily all three tins had no damage on delivery and two of them are now holding Lego, the third one still has panettone in it. Very pleased with this brand and will buy again end of this year. Flavour is spot on light with hint of the citrus peel and nothing is overpowering unlike others I have bought in the past which tasted of too much cinnamon. These loaves have huge juicy raisins in as well. To be honest at reduced prices now, it's worth paying under 9 quid for the large tin alone. UPDATE 2023. I thought I would try lidl ones as the price of these has now shot up. They were awful so I am back to these for now as you can't beat the moistness and the flavour. I would rather pay the over twice as much for quality.

The best panattone we have had

Third one I have bought in the last five years. First one was amazing, probably the best I'd had: moist, flavoursome, and rich in fruit. The second was utterly disappointing, dry and with hardly any fruit (so it ended up in a bread and butter pudding). This one is good, moist, with a nicely flavoured dough, although it could have done with more fruit and slightly more cooking. The inconsistency in quality is quite disappointing from such a historical and well respected brand (think Amaretti biscuits). P.s. In reply to the "gentleman" who arrogantly questioned the competence or truthfulness of people who found this panettone dry: I am from near Milan, so have been eating panettone all my life, used to be a chef (so I can discern good and less good food) and I am certainly not a plant.

As described by seller, extremely soft, fluffy and tasty, I have purchased this on a few occasions and have always enjoyed the taste. I would recommend this to anyone who loves fruit cake

So I only really get this at Christmas and find it really nice with a nice cuppa. It is very flavorsome filled with dried fruits like raisins, dried orange peel and currants etc. It used to come with packets of icing powder you'd sprinkle on top for that christmassy feeling but they've stopped doing this now due to cost cutting booooooooo! Booooooo I say!!! For £8 or £9 a pop it isn't for everyday consumption and like I said for special occasions only like Christmas. If like me you don't really like Christmas pudding because of the sickening sweetness and stodginess then give this a try. Its light and fruity tasting and goes well with a fresh brew. Whatever you do don't buy the yellow tin lemon version of this. Not only is it more expensive it is also not as nice as this red one. It has no lemon cream filling and the lemon candied pieces are hard and flavorless.

First received as a gift from the owners of an Italian restaurant... So pleased to find it on Amazon. A bit pricey, but the absolute best I have ever eaten! Very fresh and moist. I hope the supplier carries it all year, but since it is a seasonal item, I doubt it. You will not be disappointed!

Delicious. Moist, tasty. Lovely, lovely keepsake tin. A great gift for the Holidays. One of the tins was slightly dented, which I didn't like. I was able to un-dent. All in all, a very tasty panettone.
