DRMTLGY Microdermabrasion Scrub – Face Exfoliator to Smooth & Polish Dull, Rough Skin – Gentle Facial Scrub with Pumice – 2 oz

I'm fairly new to using regular facial exfoliants. The few I've tried have given me good results, but I've found that they can be difficult to get from the jar to my skin. They're mostly granules in an oily or soapy base, and using them in the shower with wet fingers often results in a lot of the granules getting washed off before I can get the product onto my skin. DRMTLGY is much different. The base is creamy and not slippery, so it holds onto my skin better and lets me apply it without losing half of it down the drain. The granules are very fine and seem to do an excellent job of polishing off dead skin and debris without irritating my skin. I have some chemical sensitivities, but because the product is unscented, I don't have to worry about fragrance additives causing inflammation. DRMTLGY Microdermabrasion Facial Scrub is also about half the price of my previous favorite exfoliant scrub, which is a big plus.

I was searching for a budget-friendly alternative to my normal scrub. After some research, I found this product and I'm genuinely impressed. The texture is creamy with fine granules that feel smooth and are gentle on the skin. Most importantly, it cleans thoroughly and delivers results on par with scrubs that cost way more. If you’re looking for an effective, high quality facial scrub without the luxury price, I recommend this one. I will be repurchasing.

I like using this when I notice my skin is getting dry. It’s slightly grainy as it should be, but not too rough like other exfoliating products can be. No irritation

I am 71 years old, and have been using this face scrub/mask for about two weeks. First of all, I don't have any major skin problems. I have been using all natural products on my face for the last couple of years, and noticed a couple of what looks like blackheads at the side of my nose. Whether this was caused by the oils I use on my face or just an aging thing, I don't know. At any rate, I decided it was time to look for a facial scrub, and chose this one because of the natural ingredients. As a facial scrub, I love it. The granules are small and not like rocks and the substance they are in applies easily and fluidly. The directions on the container recommend applying and leaving on your face for 1-3 minutes. Since I don't have a lot of spare time and am always in a hurry, I have managed to leave it on for 1 minute and have used it 3 times per week. I have noticed that the little blackheads around my nose are disappearing, it rinses off easily, and my face feels so much cleaner feeling than it has with other cleansers I have tried. I do use rose water and a natural moisturizer afterwards, and have to say that my skin looks brighter and healthier. I have not yet tried this product as a facial mask that would require leaving it on for 15-20 minutes, but I will try this in the near future. If this works as a mask, it would be so much better than the thick grey stuff you need to smear on your face and let it dry until it cracks. At this point, I am very happy with the results when using this product and would recommend it. As yet, I have had absolutely no problems with sensitivity or adverse effects. I will update this review if my opinion changes or if I have any additional information. UPDATE 7/04/18: For the last couple of weeks, I have tried applying this mask to my face before I take a bath and leaving it on until the end of my bath. As a mask, it doesn't get stiff and dry as other masks I have tried and it rinses off easily at the end of my bath. As a mask, I can't honestly say that it does much more than using it as a cleanser, but I do like the way my face feels after using it. As a scrub, I like it very much and will continue to use it. UPDATE 03/02/20: I am now 73 years old, and have been using this scrub for almost 2 years. To be honest, I haven't been consistent in when I use it. Sometimes I use it once a week and other times I go as much as a month between uses. What I have noticed when I use it is that my face feels silky smooth after I rinse it off. I have also noticed that none of the pores on my face look enlarged. I use warm water on my face before applying it and then use warm water to rinse it off. I still very much like this scrub and will continue using it. I am not good at taking selfies, but I have added a picture of me at 73. You be the judge. UPDATE 02/23/2026: I am now 79 years old and have updated my picture. To be honest, I got away from using this facial scrub to try a couple of other brands. I have recently started using this facial scrub again and prefer it to the others. This facial scrub makes my face feel smoother and cleaner than the others. I also like that it can be used as a mask. I have been using it twice a week as a scrub and once a week as a mask. This is my favorite facial scrub and mask now. I hope this review was helpful for you. I will update it i my opinion changes.

I love to exfoliate my face. This scrub does not disappoint. It exfoliates really well. I enjoy how my face feels after I use this product. It leaves my face feeling silky smooth. I don't know if it dries out my face a little, but I do use a moisturizer after using it.

I use this only about once a week since the exfoliation in the cream is really good. After massaging my face for only a few minutes it does a good job and my face feels extremely soft afterwards. I have dry to oily skin. The only thing is that it comes in such a small container, but I will be buying again since it does so well and I don't have to use it as much.

I was desperately missing my $68 scrub but I could NOT justify the cost. I’m not a millionaire ok. I kept looking for alternatives. Then I found this. This scrub does a dang fine job. It doesn’t ~smell~ or ~look~ luxurious but honestly I like that. It’s simple and effective. Probably way cleaner than the fancy stuff too. It doesn’t have all the intense scents and colors many scrubs have. I will buy again when I’m out.

I tried this product and LOVED IT! My skin was so soft and healthy looking immediately after the first use. My pores looked smaller, everything looked great! I was excited to put this in my skin care routine… until I woke up the next morning. I had HUGE pimples around my mouth, neck, chin, forehead, and cheeks… every where I used this scrub. I’m about four days out and they’ve turned into what looks like a mix between a pimple and a chemical burn. My skin has started to flake off no matter how much skin barrier ointment I apply. I’m afraid I’ll have to see my dermatologist if this doesn’t clear up soon. ***IMPORTANT TO NOTE*** I have acne prone, sensitive, combination skin. That said, I am on two different prescription topicals (tretinoin and spironolactone) to treat acne/signs of aging. I’m sure my reaction has something to do with this, being there are AHA in this product from what I read. I shouldn’t have chanced it, but hindsight is 20/20! I haven’t had a break out period in about two months, but it’s been YEARS since I’ve had one this severe. All together I think if you’re not on any kind of retinoid you should be okay! I know this product would have been a miracle if it wasn’t for my sensitive skin/retinoid reaction!

This DRMTLGY Microdermabrasion Scrub has become a staple in my skincare routine. While the container appears small in size, the potency of this formula packs a punch. When used infrequently and sparingly, this scrub will brighten your complexion, soften lines, minimize pores, and provide consistent balance across your skin’s surface. I have only used this scrub about 3x since I purchased it (once per week), and have already noticed significant improvement with my skin. My goal was to reduce the appearance of my pores, and this scrub is doing exactly that. In terms of texture, this scrub has a thick consistency; however, it spreads evenly, allowing you to use minimal product. With that, this container could last a few months, especially with infrequent use. The scrub has essentially no odour, which is a must for sensitive skin. If used too often, this scrub could cause dryness, and perhaps even minor irritation. The formula is potent, but gentle enough to be suitable for those with sensitive skin.

Hands down the best exfoliator I’ve ever used!! It’s so gentle that you could use it everyday. It feels so refreshing after, almost like minty and cool. Most importantly it leaves my skin looking so healthy and glowy and soft. I absolutely love this. The product is also very dense so it lasts a long time so it’s super great value!

I just recently finished this jar of exfoliating scrub cleanser. The main purpose I purchased this item was to help exfoliate dead skin cells that can clog up my pores and/or form milia, which I am prone to and I needed something to exfoliate without causing a reaction. This really helped a lot. I really liked how the consistency of the texture and how much I can really exfoliate without breaking or damaging the skin barrier of my face and it did not dry out my skin after each use. I have areas on my face that are very sensitive, so I react to a lot of exfoliate cleanser, but I have not once had a breakout or any side affect happen to me when I was using this exfoliating cleanser. It removed a lot of the dead skin cells, smoothed the texture of my skin from acne scars, minimize the amount of blackheads from forms and the size of my pores, while maintaining the moisture and hydration of the skin. Also, I love that you do not need to use a lot for the whole face as the product spreads very well, so this bottle has lasted me since last Oct 2024 . I also enjoyed that there isn't any scent to the cleanser, at least from my perspective. The few downsize I would say from this product is the packaging and how well the formula is, because I had to really wash my face well as I may sometimes find there would still be small amount of the exfoliation on my face and you do have to scoop out the product, but I did not mind it so much until I got to the last bit of the product and scraping it out was difficult.
