AMD Ryzen 7 7700 8-Core, 16-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor

This was likely the best bargain for a general-purpose CPU in early 2025, considering that it includes a nice Wraith Prism cooler in the box. The Wraith Prism cooler is the easiest cooler installation I've ever done, but make sure the bracket that comes pre-attached to your motherboard is screwed in tight before locking it in! You can improve both the performance and power efficiency of Ryzen 7000 CPU's by undervolting with the Curve Optimizer, and that is what I recommend doing if you can spare the time. In my experience, a stable all-core undervolt is 15 units higher than the lowest undervolt that passes a 10-minute loop of Cinebench R23. My CPU passed the Cinebench R23 test at -35 units, so I have set it at -20 units and have been stable in all games and programs for months.

Its a good product and its almost as powerful as the 7700x. Its power consumption is also much lower and thus stays cool. Also, the included heatsink has thermal paste applied already so you don't need to purchase that seperately. Additonally, My pc only has 1 exhaust fan and no intake fans so the 7700 paired with my overclocked 1660ti stays moderately cool at all times. This is also due to my pc case the Phanteks P300a having a mesh front providing less air resistance. I believe this is the perfect CPU bundle to not have to buy other things such as the heatsink, extra fans, thermal paste while at the same time having a incredible amount of performance.

This works well with ma365 apps and seems to have good gaming but I’m not a super gamer. I figured I could add a graphics card later but no need so far.

Everyone wants the 3D chips to play games. For anything else this 8 core chip is great. I was going to get the Ryzen 5 5600 6 core but read a review that mentioned the Ryzen 7 7700 came with a upgraded OEM cooler. This changed the calculus and the $100 extra for a very nice upgraded OEM designed RGB cooler plus 2 extra cores put this chip at the top of my list. This is an amazing value for your money. The technology today is truly amazing that you can have this kind of performance out of a 65W chip and the engineers at AMD know what they are doing. The upgraded cooler blows down, cooling not only the chip but also the surrounding electronics on the main board unlike most aftermarket air coolers. Thermal paste is pre applied. Unless you need the extra cache for gaming (3d designation) or a threadripper, I consider this chip one of the best values in 1st quarter 2025. The integrated graphics is also nice to have, even though I have a discreet NVIDIA GPU.

To keep this review short and sweet this is a fantastic CPU. Excellent performance upgrade coming from my old 2700X. This CPU runs silently with the stock cooler included and I'm pleasantly surprised how fast this CPU is considering the low TDP. My only real complaint I have regarding this CPU is the cost. I believe Intel currently has a similarly performing CPU that costs a bit less. This CPU is about $50 more than it should be as of this posting but overall I'm very satisfied with this CPU.

After building my workstation (7950X bea$t for work needs) my wife started getting fomo, so I built a more reasonably budgeted machine for her around the 7700 (non X variant) and a Gigabyte Aorus Master as that MB has been consistently solid with mem compatibility (for me anyway). At stock power (65W) it's only a few percentage points off of the 7700X, and with a bit of curve optimization it can even hang with my workstation build at anything below fully threaded loads (i.e., rendering, sim compute, compilation, etc.). In everyday, normal computing use, it's absurdly fast and efficient. Nearly a third less power of the 7950X machine, but delivering between 60 ~ 90 percent of the performance across all of my benchmarks and tested use cases. That's crazy good for a machine that costs 1/5 the price. Unless you're chasing a handful of extra frames in games, or have very specific workloads where time = money, I can't see much justification in spending more money, to use more electricity, that generates more heat to cool, for like ~5% more performance with the X variant. This 7700 does nearly identical work much more efficiently, for less money.

初自作に使用しました。7800x3D、7700Xと迷いましたがprizmcooler付きで別途クーラー購入の必要が無いのが予算面でとてもありがたかったので7700に決めました。 多分アドレサブルARGBではないので、PCケースやマザボと同じ光らせ方が出来ないのが残念ではありましたが、専用ソフトでライティング調整は可能です。 グラフィックボードはRTX5070にしたのでCPUボトルネックがあるかもしれませんが、初心者なので一切不便は感じません。 メモリはXMPで6000の32GB使用にてFF15ベンチでスコア20000出ました。 65Wと電気代に優しい低電力仕様のため、重めゲームでも発熱は全く気になりません。 色々調べながら低電圧にも挑戦してみましたがスコアはやや低くなってしまいました。 8コア16スレッドのおかげでマルチタスクは快適です。 FHD〜WQHD環境のAM5ならコスパ最強だと思っています。とても良い買い物でした。#PR

Habe damit meinen PC aufgerüstet zusammen mit einer GTX 3080 12GB und kann alles uneingeschränkt auf vollen Details spielen, wobei da eh die Grafikkarte limitiert. Die CPU reicht locker aus, um die 3080 zu befeuern und bremst diese nicht aus. Darauf kam es mir letztendlich an. Meine alte Intel CPU lief zwar im Idle Modus deutlich kühler, aber das liegt an der Art und Weise, wie die Lüfter gesteuert werden und ein bisschen Ruhe beim Surfen kann ja auch nicht schaden. Preis- Leistung ist top
