Quality unit. Just right for the job

I had a slight issue with the one I received. One of the inside threads which clamp the copper wire was missing a thread, so the screw would not tighten. I managed to find my own screw which was slightly larger and cut a new thread with it. I would have sent it back, but I needed it that day, so fixed it myself. I think I was just unlucky. The other screws tightened with no issues, so I just had a bad one (otherwise, 5 stars). Apart from that, it's easy to fit and build quality seems good. It fits to the 16A socket from Faithfull well. The earth terminal has two screws and Live/Neutral have one screw each. Cord grip and water resistant grommet worked well. Would still recommend.

Good quality 16amp plugs and sockets, all the wiring points inside have double screws. I bought to modify a camping EHU cable (see photo), the ones with the fuse box and sockets on. I cut the cable a meter from the fuse box, added one of these plugs, and one of the sockets on the other end and now I have a EHU cable I can use for a caravan, to use as an extension or for other uses, along with being able to plug the camping socket end in to it I'll be buying some more to do the same with another camping EHU cable, but I'll be making 2 x 10m cables out of that one along with the fuse / socket box with a meter of cable and plug on the end

Great plugs but screws new small

Don't want to go and buy a 'camping' extension cable as you have your own long reel based extension cable already but it has a normal 3 pin plug on the end. No worries - just buy one of these and get you screwdriver out. In minutes, you'll be hooked up to the site electrics and powering whatever you want. Bought one as I already had a 25m cable reel and I wasn't paying upto 40 quid for another one that would only get used at certain times of the year when we were camping. Simple to wire up and did the job in a torrential rainstorm, on the top of a Swiss mountain last August. Its even easy to adjust if you need to reverse the polarity as you do on some foreign sites - a few minutes work and your 'converted' - just remember to convert back when you leave.
