This is really well put together , the main toggle feels like it will go on forever with a very satisfying clunk , connections OK to take banana plugs & it has no affect on the sound quality , I needed to flick from valve based system Leaks to Quad 99 power on my solid state Quad set up. I am currently using it between Quad 405 & Quad 99 as the Leak powers are being serviced but I have every confidence it will work equally well when they are hooked up.

Absolutely ideal when you have a analog amplifier and a digital amplifier perfect for records no humming or buzzing noises absolutely perfect only advise to give bannah plug all your cables for an even better sound

… that I could probably have built myself for about a third of the price but couldn’t be bothered in the end. The switch itself has a very solid feel. It’s Expensive for what it is, but there seem to be very few alternatives on the market - indeed, the desire to switch between two amps into one pair of speakers seems a much more niche requirement than I’d have expected. (Mine was to switch between a Quad hifi amp system and a Denon AV system.)

I wanted to setup a 2-channel stereo system alongside my home cinema receiver and share the front speakers between the two systems. This works perfectly. At the flick of the nicely heavy-duty switch I can move from the AV receiver to the stereo amp and vice versa. I can't detect any signal degradation either, it seems pretty transparent. It is basically just a passive switching mechanism so shouldn't introduce any colouration if the internal wiring is competent.

I have this connected to an AV amp and a hifi amp so I can use the same pair of speakers for both. It's sturdy, the switch is reassuringly solid, and it has proper binding posts. I can't hear any drop in sound quality when this is connected.

I am aware of the theory that any additional impediment in the path between sourc, amplifier and speakers is going to degrade the sound. However, for my purposes, this works very well and enables me to switch sorces easily. My hearing is not perfect, but I suspect that most ordinary users would have difficulty discerning any deterioration in sound quality. A sound engineer with the right equipment, probably would be able to demonstrate tangible differences?

Der Solupeak macht einen robusten und hochwertigen Eindruck, die Steckplätze für die Bananenstecker sehen edel aus und sind fest am Gehäuse verbaut, da wackelt nichts. Auch der Schalter, schaltet zwar sehr straff, macht aber einen Eindruck, als wolle er 100 Jahre halten. Klangliche Veränderungen sind nicht warnehmbar. Es ist preislich kein billiges Gerät, ist aber sein Geld Wert.

Heel blij met deze aankoop, makkelijk te installeren. Geen gedoe meer om bananen pluggen te verwisselen, geen kwaliteits verlies. En neemt niet veel plaats in een echte aanrader.

Tout à fait conforme au produit montré. Costaud et de bonne présentation. Rien à dire du côté audio, le signal est impeccable dans les deux sens... Je pourrais dire que les borniers gagneraient à accepter des câbles plus gros, mais ce serait peut-être pousser un peu loin.
