The Book of Me, 2nd Edition (Autobiographical Journal)

Amazing

I received this book about me the day after I ordered it which was great and its such a pretty book to look at for me and I’m going to throughly enjoy filling it out and treasuring it forever and something I could give others to read whom I know.It also arrived sealed in a clear packet which was good.The price I payed was worth it and such a pretty journal that’s more like a book and nice and thick.Thankyou.

Absolutely love this book. Lots to fill in so takes a good few months to do. Provokes a lot of memories and covers so many different parts of your life. A really good way to record your past for future generations especially when you wouldn’t even think about sharing some Of the topics.

Lovely hard back. Lots of prompts, thinking about getting one for myself! Definitely something different.

The book itself is really nice quality, hardback so long lasting, with paper that holds up to many different pens. I found the question in the first half or so of the book really engaging, with some unexpected items that really made me think. However the books quickly focuses on romantic/sexual relationships which is very frustrating for someone who is not heteronormative. Even when not focusing on this some of the sections in the second half were very strange. This was a real disappointment and made the second part of the book incredibly frustrating and ended up with lots of gaps. Overall I found this a really interesting way to think about writing my own story and I am very glad that I selected it. It has inspired me to look out old photographs to prompt some more memories so that I can do something more in depth.

Bought this for my birth mum. Great book full of ideas and sections to write stuff down in. A few sections are irrelevant but I covered these with photos. Great for a mothers day present

I have returned this as I feel the book is too Americanised ,eg, the language, "best gift you have ever gotten" And some of the questions and seemed intrusive and prying.

writing messages about me that my children and grandchildren can read can on special occasions or when ever they want to and can have forever about special memories, we recently lost my husband so it would have been good to get more stories of him and write them down but things happened quickly not enough time

In a word, this book is awesome, not just because of the quality of the material, but because of the quality that comes out of the person doing the exercise. This is a book that will ask you to be introspective and honest. It has questions that make you reflect and think. I highly recommend this for yourself and then sharing it (maybe not all of it) with someone you love.

If you're wanting to do some soul searching and are thinking about writing an autobiography, I recommend this. Very nice layout, nice looking book, good quality and so many good questions.

It’s a great book to be able to look back on in a few years to see how far you’ve grown and where your goals are. And a valuable book for your family when your gone
