Best-sounding bluetooth speaker, ever made, for any price
I am a bit of a bluetooth audio junkie... audiophile? I've tried many dozens of bluetooth speakers (ultra-portable, portable, and tabletop), headsets, and more recently, earbuds. I first bought the original SoundLink Mini 4 or 5 years ago... and have bought many, many competitive offerings. In this ultraportable range, very good ones are from Bang & Olufsen (A1, A2 and P6). Surprisingly bad ones are from Bowers & Wilkins (T7) and KEF (Gravity One). Mediocrity resounds with Bose's own successor to the Mini, the Revolve and Revolve+, as well as the little brother of my all-around, all-time favorite bluetooth speaker, the Klipsch KMC-3 - the Klipsch Groove. For all of these contenders, and I want to emphasize that the B&O speakers are VERY good - you can't be unhappy with them - the Bose SoundLink Mini was, is, and apparently always will be, the biggest-sounding speaker in a little package. They have literally mastered the fluid dynamics of speaker engineering in a way that apparently cannot be replicated or beaten. And believe me, I've looked. Every cubic millimeter in this speaker generates good sound. The bass is phenomenal, that's really its party trick - but when you listen to this side-by-side with a cheaper, but similar-sized speaker, you notice that midranges are present, vocal, warm. You hear the treble with sparkling accuracy, and if you squint a little, even some stereo separation. I continue to look for someone who takes the art of sound further, in a similar or smaller package, but after years and dozens of tries - cheaper options and much more expensive options - sometimes expecting the contender not to stand up, sometimes with optimism - nothing, and I mean nothing, sounds as good, for being as small, as this. I like this so much that I bought several extra ones. I'll keep them on the shelf in case mine dies (I bought both the Mini and the Mini II). I'll give them as gifts. This is very, very well worth my money, and yours. Keep in mind, I'm also not comparing semi-portable or tabletop speakers in this. I have tried many, and kept several, incredibly good ones there too. Portables: Klipsch KMC-3, Peachtree Audio Deepblue, Aiwa Exos-9. Tabletop: the tight, controlled, punchy and precise Klipsch The Three, and the unbelievable, thunderous, ridiculously good Polk Woodbourne. I'm not claiming that the SoundLink Mini beats everything. I'm claiming that you will never hear a bigger tiny speaker in your life. Buy one. Put it in a corner - a few inches from the wall. Kitchen or bathroom counter. Play your favorite music at moderate volume. Prepare for jaw to hit the floor. 'Nuff said. Do it again Bose. The Revolve does not.

"...but Dad, it's SMOKEY...." ;-)
I really r-e-a-l-l-y tried to go with considerably less expensive alternatives. I read review after review on other portable Bluetooth speakers and have tried six or seven, seriously, yet they all left me flat. I've always said I was an elitist, not a snob. In other words, what mattered the most was the quality not the name or logo. In this case---Bose just beat 'em all hands down. I was/am though looong ago a classically trained musician and while I don't play any longer the ear doesn't ever really go away. And while I shamelessly admit to having several Bose products I was more than willing to accept 'less' to keep me company in the kitchen or tub, but most set my teeth on edge. The Soundlink Mini II produces deep, rich elegant sound that, by comparison to those I've tried, cannot be compared. This little guy, in addition to great signal strength in terms of range and a solid 10 hours of battery life (the nifty docking/charging station notwithstanding) is all but distortion free even cranked all the way up....you knew I had to give it a try Ha!. Vocals are crisp and whether low, mid or high the music (blues electric or acoustic, jazz, classical or rock) just flows and fills your ears with celebration. Do yourself a favor, stop auditioning others only to return them and try again, and just buy it. You won't be sorry....and by the way if you really wanna blow away the competition, check out the Bose Soundtouch 30...O-M-G!! (Nope, not a paid review whatever...I just take music rather seriously.) Thanks Amazon AND THANK YOU BOSE!! Enjoy.

Fantastic Sound!
I LOVE THIS SPEAKER!!! The sound is great in a quiet, low volume mode. And it’s fantastic turned all the way up when I want to dive in and bathe in whatever music I am listening to. Classical, pop, rock, oldies, Latin....it all sounds great! I love that it’s portable or I can use it sitting on its base. I keep it there most of the time to let it stay charged without having to think about it. But a single charge lasts for hours. You can’t go wrong with this one. It fills my small cottage and my big airy studio with wonderful sound. Podcasts are also great sound. Enjoy!!

Suprisingly great sound
Considering this is a tiny portable battery-powered Bluetooth speaker, the sound is really quite extraordinary. I have had this speaker for about a year now and am still completely satisfied. I have owned several Bluetooth speakers before, and this one is very clearly superior sound. I use it mostly to watch movies and listen to Spotify, sync'd with my Surface Pro 4 and that combination has been completely trouble-free. It is surprisingly heavy, almost like picking up a brick, but its high quality is obvious. Frequently I don't bother to turn on the big stereo anymore because I am satisfied with this sound. I highly recommend this speaker.

Quality speaker, issues with charging
Obviously expensive, but sounds great, looks great, and is of high quality. Five stars Update: Reducing to 4 stars. A great annoyance is an incessant, periodic beeping while not in use, apparently to do with the cable or charging station. If you look at Bose support forums you’ll find this to be a common complaint that should be easy to fix, but isn’t.

I’ve had 4 or 5 over the years!
A little pricey but this thing will crank the base like old school home systems! Great to take anywhere! The only thing BOSE has never listened to their loyal customers: The charging base is the worst! Nearly impossible to align the unit to the flat base that looks ugly and takes up valuable space. The SOUND more than makes up for the terrible charger design!

A Truly GREAT Product
The sound quality of this Bose Bluetooth speaker is beyond belief! For about $150, it delivers great sound, portability and the Bose reputation for quality. We've been blown away by how great it sounds inside (where it will fill a room) and outside on our patio. The battery has a long life and the charging pad works very well. On a 1 to 10 scale, we'd rate the Soundlink Mini II as a solid 12. A terrific value and a wonderful product!

Microphone doesn’t work properly for conferencing
Sound is great but I already had a speaker. I got it for the microphone. It doesn’t work on Skype which is what I primarily needed it for. In addition when it does work on Zoom or Teams The microphone cuts in and out. Another thing it does is cuts all the audio out if I use it for a meeting and I can’t join another meeting until I restart the computer. VCs were a major part of the promotion for the product so I’m not happy.

To check Costco price before buying it in Amazon 😁
I really like it other than I paid more money buying it from Amazon. The price is at least a hundred dollars less at Costco. But I really liked it so I kept instead of returning it.

Gran diseño, muy buen sonido. Excelente compra.
