ROVNER MKIII-C1RL

Everyone should have a fabric ligature. This model or one of it’s cousins, the Dark or Light. They’re a must when trialling a mouthpiece and their simplicity makes them very reliable. They just work and are quick to put on…adjusting your mouthpiece on the fly is no issue. I always have one in the case. The MKIII offers something more robust than the Dark or Light Rovners. It’s sturdier and feels like it has a firmer grip on the reed. It does…there are two extra flaps of material stuck to the inside of the ligature that sit against the reed, with a narrow strip of exposed fabric between them. This allows for a firmer pressure on the reed stock than the Dark or light. It needs to ‘break in’ a bit because it starts off very rigid and you’ll need to position it on the mouthpiece carefully a few times before it settles. This doesn’t take long and is worth the effort! I own an embarrassing number of ligatures and I always come back to the rovner fabric range, the MKIII being my preference. You can’t go wrong…highly recommended.

I'm a total novice when it comes to sax. However I've put on this ligature and it seems to be very good.. much better than the one supplied with the sax. I've also got a Yamaha 4C mouthpiece too on the sax and they work well together. With a RICO 2.5 reed. As my playing improves I'll appreciate the ligature more..

I got this ligature and matched it with a selmer ebonite mouthpiece. I do a combination of jazz and classical styles so this lig is great for all round playing. Produces a really full broad sound and improves tone quality, would recommend!

Bought this to replace the flimsy metal ligature that came with the saxophone. It felt easier to play and the reed feels far more secure to the mouthpiece.

A super dark tone for all those Bee Bop fans. Great product.

I am pleased with my purchase. It does its job well, (to my satisfaction, at least). If I needed another ligature, I would feel confident to choose another Rovner ligature again.

Use with Select jazz 6M which it fits nicely, gives a warm broad tone and looks cool as well.

Starも買い、比べましたが、Mark IIIの方がDarkで、少し吹き込んでやる必要があります。 微々たる差です。以前、この類の金属でないリガチャーを買ったことがありますが、ちょっとサイズが合わなかったのか、途中でビスがねじ込めないところまで行ってしまって（リガチャーが大きい）、それが怖くて、買っていませんでしたが、Rovnerのホームページで自分のメイヤーラバー アルトに合うかどうか確認してから買いました。長さは最適だと思います。リガチャーは値段ではありません。 サックス40年。 Big bandで吹くなら、金属製のしっかり抑えられるリガチャー じゃないと明るさが足りず、周りに音が負けてしまうと思います。 私はコンボで使用。

This is a nice ligature. I got two and I use one on a spare soprano clarinet mouthpiece and the other one I use on my main alto sax mouthpiece. Nothing super fancy with this ligature but it suits my needs.
