It can, but extra care needs to be taken. The blade is sharp and will cut skin if used incorrectly so if the rabbit is jumpy, it may pose an extra risk.

Can it be used on a horses tail ?

Hi Julie. Yes it could but 2 things to say one is just might be a bit lightweight Two hold tail so hair hangs down and always work it down the way and not along the tail always downward. I would buy a couple as horses hair is quite tuff so shop around Ebay to to get best price we got ours for Â£4:00 I think.it is a great piece of kit on my daughters Tibetan Terrier. can you get spare blades

No. Its fixed for safety. Shame though, as it means putting plastic in the bin in and they should be thinking about recycling and makes a blades replaceable.
