Talking Big Digit Watch

The Lifemax Talking Big Digit Watch is brilliant The trouble with the more expensive talking watches like all taking watches is the talking feature runs the battery down very quickly, and then you have no way of changing the battery so that is the end of the watch. The Lifemax Talking Big Digit Watch only costs a little more than £10 and comes with an instruction book that has an address you can send it to to have a new battery put in if you wish for £10 plus postage, obviously it cheaper to buy a new watch that comes post free. The talking feature is loud and crystal clear. It also has a taking date and 4 alarms, the time can be set to 24 hour or AM PM , and there is a talking stopwatch, and its all simple and easy to do. It has four press buttons that are so responsive they are almost touch sensitive making using the watch easy and a delight to use. Plus a very large time display that shows time seconds and day. Overall it’s the best and cheapest talking watch but of such high quality I’ve come across.

great to be able to set 4 separate alarms. when speaking, it is clear and easy to understand a little fiddly to set up if you have arthritic fingers - but persevere it is worth it wish it had a better strap - plastic one on previous one split

The watch is your standard digital display with large numbers and has a voice which allows the user who cannot see the display to tell the time. The voice is female and clear to understand, the watch easy to set up and has date, time, stopwatch and four alarm functions so has a wide range of uses. I bought mine for a friend in church who has some sight, but is classed as blind. Unfortunately at the time of writing I haven't been able to deliver the gift, but hope to this Sunday evening (9/1/2011), providing she manages to get an escort to bring her down. In all a budget buy that far exceeds expectations.

Bought this for my husband when his sight was not 100% He always wore a watch and this helped him keep in touch time and date wise. Very clear , and functional.

Well, at first sight I was very hopeful this watch would be fit for it's purpose. But, alas it let it's self down because whilst it has a nice clear face and large numerals which are easy to see, there is no back light for night time viewing. The talking feature does not work for me because it is not clear enough to hear without repeating it several times and you really don't want to be disturbed at night trying to hear the time over and over again. Good try, but it needs improving.

PREVIOUSLY: "..... I've had around ten of them in that time! Usually, it's the battery that fails first and the case is not designed for easy replacement of the large battery. Loss of one of the four mode buttons is common and the strap pins sometimes breakout of their shoulders. So, what's so good about it? The voice synth is best-in-class for audibility at this price point. The case is lightweight, is durable and doesn't easily snag on things. The price has almost tripled in those 25 years, but with all its issues, it is still vfm, imho!"

Bought for my dad who has unfortunately gone blind. He likes it as he no longer has to be asking people what the time is.

I bought this watch to wear for gardening and DIY. For the price it is a good buy. However, I find that the voice (American adenoid English) is often indistinct. Others I've asked to listen, agree, but I know other reviewers find it acceptable. The digital display is good and large, and being able to set up to 4 alarms for daily medication is a plus. The watch is rather bulky and the strap, at least at first, is rather stiff. I also have a Lifemax atomic analogue talking watch which has a 'cultured' English (British) male voice which is VERY clear. The analogue face is easy the read, and the watch is lighter to wear. The atomic time signal ensures accurate time, day, date, month, and year. If you want only one accurate talking watch, and can afford the extra cost, I consider it a better buy,

ho ordinato questo prodotto inquanto disabile visivo, la prima volta nonostante io abbia provveduto a sostituire la batteria a mie spese, ho dovuto restituirlo perché non funzionante. Quando mi è arrivato nuovamente il prodotto, sostituito, nuovamente ho dovuto sostituire la batteria a mie spese e questa volta ho scoperto che l'annuncio vocale dell'orologio era in lingua inglese. Io oggi mi chiedo come sia possibile che accadano queste cose e soprattutto su prodotti che ovviamente vengono utilizzati da persone affette da disturbi visivi. Ritornando al prodotto in questione non posso esprimere alcuna valutazione per le motivazioni di cui sopra. Spero soltanto di ricevere piena soddisfazione da AMAZON per quanto sopra descritto

Es como lo había imaginado. Me hubiese gustado que la caja de presentación fuera más bonita pues el reloj está muy bien y la caja le desmerece.

Fonctionne très bien, 4 alarmes programmables par jours, top horaire à la demande, très bonne visibilité, gros chiffres, son un peu fort, simple à utiliser, bracelet un peu rigide, rapport qualité/prix excellent, ne regrette pas mon achat!
