Works and accurate
Wanted to test the water straight from the tap. This works and it appears to pick up even trace amounts. Distilled water has none according to this kit just as you would expect, Tap water has just the tiniest amount, so it's good to know it can pick up such a small amount.

Does as expected.
Im assuming that this is working well, and have never returned a positive test result, which is good if its correct. I have found API test kits to be very hit and miss in the past with other false zero's for various products.

good
Box came crushed but everything inside was ok. I'm assuming the reading is accurate as it's telling me 0ppm and my axolotl seems to be happy. I also have the api master test kit and this copper test kit is to a similar quality

The testing colors don't always match the chart
The testing colors don't always match the chart and it's often very difficult to tell the difference in color/shades between 0.25 -1.0 as the colors in the chart are all very similar, yet at the same time, it's a big difference in copper levels that could either heal or kill your fish. Not ideal.

Product out of date. Does not work.
This product was out of date on arrival. Waste of money. Did not detect any of the copper sulphate that I had just dosed my quarantine tank with. Unacceptable.

Initial review: After following the instructions very specifically, I was unable to get a reading of copper after I dosed Cupramine into my 10 gallon quarantine saltwater tank. However, after letting the test tube sit for a day, I was able to get a copper reading. Read below for the full review and results: EDIT: After letting the test tube sit for an entire day, I can actually distinguish a copper reading that seems to be nearly accurate with the amount of Cupramine I dosed. I tested ANOTHER sample of the same water, and got copper color immediately? Both tests look identical and it is actually reading right about 0.5mg/L. I am not sure if I should trust the readings, although they would be spot on with the amount of Cupramine I dosed. I'll test it with a Seachem test kit tommorow and update this review. Also make sure to follow the directions precisely, you need to remove the cap and look down the test tube with the white background of the color under the tube, but don't let the tube sit directly on top of the card, the color will appear much darker. Hold the test tube above the card an inch or two. EDIT #2 02/19/18: The Seachem Copper Test kit arrived and the results are in: 0.5mg/L. Right at the amount I dosed. Tested again today with also the API Copper Test kit. Results again, are the exact same. 0.5mg/L. This means (in my case) both the API Copper Test Kit and the Seachem Test Kit are both precise measuring tools if you are dosing Cupramine.

the test using these strips matched the aquarium test results from the fancy fish store, setting my mind at ease about acquiring shrimp as pets.

Testing water for copper is important if you have ever used a copper-based medicine or if your house is old enough to have copper pipes.

I can’t speak to how well it works- I was hoping to use it to make sure there was no or almost no copper in my water, but it doesn’t measure very low levels so wasn’t suitable for my purposes
