Premiair Hepa Filter air Purifier

I’m really impressed with this unit. I deliberated for some time over whether to buy one because I don’t have much spare cash but I’m glad I bought this. The day it arrived I was painting a bedroom and I put it in the room on high and it dramatically reduced the smell of the gloss paint I was using on the skirting and I noticed that it dried a lot quicker than usual. Last time I painted, the house stank for days and took ages to dry. It removes smells very quickly. My daughter likes to spray perfume, which drives me nuts because I’m allergic to it. I put the machine on high for 20 minutes and the smell is gone completely. I also have cats and cat food and litter trays can obviously get a bit whiffy until emptied but I put the purifier on and it de-smells the house very nicely. I have also noticed there is less dust; my house usually gets quite dusty from the carpets and the cat litter. I often have problems sleeping and frequently wake up with a blocked nose and I sometimes get asthma at night. I use the purifier in my bedroom before I go to bed and it has really helped with my sleeping and breathing. I put it on medium for about an hour and then switch it to low. The only thing that bothers me when I have it in my bedroom are the lights on the front of the machine because I am quite sensitive to light but then I have it on the timer so it switches off automatically after a couple of hours so it's not too much of a problem.. I can’t praise this device enough, it has really made an enormous difference. In fact, I had visitors recently and as soon as they walked through the front door they remarked on how clean and fresh the air smelt. As soon as I have some spare cash I will buy another. No unpleasant smells from the device itself. The air freshener that comes with it doesn’t really smell of anything to me. Noise – no issues, high and medium settings are quite loud (too loud to watch TV with it on) but low setting is very, very quiet and unobtrusive. Timer – has 3 settings (2, 4 and 8 hours) and works well. Also has ioniser setting – I’ve noticed the air smells even fresher with this setting on. Remote control – does not come with batteries, you will need 2 x AAA. All in all, thoroughly recommended.

Bought it right after we bought 2 pet birds and my husband felt allergic. It worked out. Weeks later he got used to birds so we left the machine in the corner and forgot about it...until 3 years later I suddenly wondered if it could help me sleeping: I have been relying on Pirinase to calm my allergic nose, but what about drug free option? And yes, the purifier works, and to my heart's delight, better than Pirinase! The nights I put it on, I get smooth breath and ... err... didn't snore! What a relief! Problem is it's got some fancy lights, nothing critical in the day time, but quite disturbing for sleep. I cover the front side by a thick cardboard ( obviously I can't simply cover the whole machine with a tower or it won't filter any air) but still some light reflects out. In addition, the lowest mode has some noise which I can bear with, but my husband doesn't. The subdued light + low noise combination keeps my light sleep husband awake. As workaround what I'm doing nowadays is to turn the high mode on in bedroom 1 hour before sleep, then turn it off when we sleep. Result is I breath better and "only snore a tiny bit". Not perfect, but I definitely don't want to live without the purifier anymore.

So glad I bought this. I suffer from asthma and also sinus issues. I started using this a few days ago and there is a huge improvement. I don't wake up coughing through the night. The machine itself is compact and small enough to place on a table. I usually put it on high (The H setting) for about an hour or so before bed, then I move it down to low (The L setting). The higher setting is fairly noisy, but I quite like the 'white noise' sound. I know for some it might be annoying though. Then I move it to the lower setting and you cannot hear it at all. The different function knobs light up but not enough to keep you awake if you don't like light in the room. It is powered by electricity and was good and ready to go once plugged in. The remote did not come with batteries you will have to buy yourself. The only thing the supplier should take note of, is the very bad spelling mistakes all through their brochure. It is SUCH a GREAT product so their brochure could let them down a little bit! I would recommend.

I initially had to get this to try to remove damage left in my holiday cottage by somebody who smoked. It was for a week and the smell in the bedroom and bathroom was so strong I had to get all curtains, duvets, pillows etc dry cleaned/washed and washed down all walls and furniture then brought in this air purifier. Its hard to say if that finally got rid of the smoke but its now really only in the bathroom where it keeps coming back. I now use the Purifier in the bedroom every night and morning on low for the timer set of 2 hours and you can barely hear it and it cleans the air up perfectly after two dogs spending the night in there! I would highly recommend as it sorted me out very well and I know I can whack it on if I want a clean air room anytime, its brilliant.

I suffer from asthma and notice that when I wake up in the morning my peak airflow is lower than it is later in the day. I have put this unit in my bedroom to reduce dust and airborne particles which are aggravating my condition. After about 5 days I have noticed an improvement with my peak airflow being consistently 8-10% better. Only a small amount but it is early days yet and every bit helps. I have the unit on full all day and switch it to low when I go to bed. The slow speed is very quiet and perfectly OK to sleep with in the background. Medium and full speeds are noisy but obviously no problem if you are out of the room. A couple of negatives are that as reported by others the unit does produce a plastic smell in the room. Not sure if this is reducing with use or if I am just getting used to it. Also as reported by others the supplied scent cartridge does not produce any scent. I removed the outer plastic seal and the inner one stuck to the actual grill but even holding it up to your nose there is virtually no smell. I even poked a screwdriver into it and "stirred" it up a bit with no affect. Scrapping the apple air freshener out and putting some gel from a cheap fresher in works OK although not sure if this a good idea as the air freshener perfume might aggravate asthma conditions. At the price this is good value and certainly helps. Note that my environment is not that bad in the first place so I did not expect a dramatic difference but if you have the sort of contamination that some reviewers have I am sure that the improvement would be much more noticeable.

It kind of works but not very well! You can notice the air being clean after about 2 hours of it on if you open a window and close the doors to that room, but that's not very useful when your baby is sick and you have to sit in a stinky room for hours. Also the higher the setting the more the device puts out this burning smell. It kind of smells like burning plastic which is what other reviewers mentionsed but I stupidly ignored thinking maybe it wouldn't happen to me or maybe it just needed breaking in! Take my word for it, it does smell like burning and it doesn't go away after time. The only way around it is leaving it on the lowest setting but then it just takes longer to clean the air! It's also really noisy in the highest setting. I would try another purifier if you're looking to get rid of smells quickly and without replacing them with other horrible smells!

Good air purifier. I had mixed feelings as some of the reviews are positive, but you can find the negative ones as well. I would say it does the job, it's a good value for the price, the air does feel fresher, so it's a nice buy. Recommended for mouldy rooms, unpleasant smells, but also for asthma sufferers. It does clean the air from dust.

It does everything I expected it to do. The low setting is quiet enough to sleep through, the ioniser makes the air feel fresh and easier to breathe, the perfume is light and does not affect me, even though I am allergic to certain perfumes. Excellent value. It also has the added bonus of blocking out the noise of my upstairs neighbour's hoovering in the middle of the night, if I turn it on to medium, and I can still sleep through it.
