Bought this after some deliberation.... Do I really need one? The answer is Yes! Yes I did. My daughter had a temperature which fluctuated wildly and went on for some time and this greatly reduced my anxiety because I knew exactly what I was dealing with and just felt a bit of piece of mind knowing when too high was too high. Was seriously glad to get into the normal range again. Since then have used it loads just to check temp occasional when she is under the weather and knowing that I can be confident in the reading. I only change the cap once per illness and per human and that has caused no problems at all so is also not expensive to use. If your a worrier like I am sometimes this will be a great purchase. Arrived very quickly (mid illness) and in perfect condition. Have had mine for several months now and have had absolutely no problems!

When my granddaughter had a febrile fit due to a high temp, decided it was time I got a thermometer that would help us to know accurately what her temperature was. Works great and she is good when we take it as it is so quick that she does not have time to get distressed by having her temperature being taken. Highly recommend.

I found this very easy to use - especially on a wriggly baby who won't sit still. Easy to read display so I would definitely recommend this product

I bought this thermometer based on reviews on here and my paramedic friend advising this is the one they use in the ambulances and hospitals. Great item gives you accurate readings very quickly and has been used on my 6 month old whilst she was asleep so very quick and gentle to use. An essential product for anyone with children.

I have tried 4 different thermometers for my daughters temp as drs wanted to know what it was. This is the only one that has worked well every time and is very accurate and easy to use. Very pleased and relieved to finally find one that works!

Friends and family said "Get an ear thermometer, and get a good one, they are so much better." But bear in mind that the temperatures are about 0.8 degC higher than under tongue (in my wife's case, but may vary from person to person etc.) so you must do your own comparison and say it is an ear temperatature. Plus you must use these pesky little probe covers ('filters') over the sensor, a new one for every reading, and you only get a pack of 20 with the thermometer -- you could get through those quickly, at 5p/filter, not a big deal but still. And remember all the factors that might give inaccurate readings such as ear-wax, having had your ears covered (e.g. my wife has long hair and it does make quite a difference, 0.5 degC), having recently been in a hot or a cold place and so on. All fair enough (tongue thermometers have similar provisos e.g. after a hot or cold drink), and it is very quick, but at the price I'd say it's a waste of money. That's the 20 filters gone in just testing it!

My partner is about to start chemotherapy and it is important that we have an accurate temperature during the process. Checked other users comments and found this was the best product to buy. It has been invaluable to us and would recommend it to other customers. Exactly like the ones Dr's use. Excellent!!!

Same as used in my doctor's office. Perfect to use on children, even fits my son's ears that are very narrow. I trust the readings, so I feel I know when to contact the doctor and I don't need to.
