ROCKY Men's Camouflage Waterproof Side-zip Snake Boots

These are my third pair of snake boots and my second pair of Rockys. I found the quality and craftsmanship to be high. My other boots are a 9M and I ordered these in the same size and the fit is as expected. As my other pair of Rocky snake boots were water proof for the first year to year and a half before I had to start treating them I expect these will be the same. I get about 3 years out of a pair before the material in the flex area of the foot starts to wear out. I ordered the boots on Wednesday, they arrived on Friday. I live in western New York and snake boots are my go-to winter boot. I have worn this pair for ice fishing, snow shoeing and for work. I will also be wearing these for hunting and hiking year round. Because they can be laced up tight, when walking through deep snow it prevents snow from getting in my boots. With wool socks on my feet stay comfortably warm. I did have an issue with the boot bighting into right ankle but a little softening of the ankle area of the boot with a 2x4 and hammer seems to have eliminated the issue. (Shoe repairmans trick) I enjoy the fact they have both a zipper and speed lace hooks. It makes putting them on and taking them off very easy which I do 5 or 6 times a day when I wear them to work. You do have to be aware that there is a lot going on in the zipper gusset area so if caution is used when running the zipper up and down you shouldn't have a problem. I will definitely buy another pair.

I bought a size 10W pair for hiking in desert/mountains around my home. I thought they were pricey and probably not going to be comfortable enough for the long hikes, including long climbs, mostly off trail, that I do - but I also felt really uncomfortable due to the mohave rattlers out here (even though in all my hikes and miles, I've only ever seen 1). I've now put hundreds of miles and many thousands of feet of elevation gain on them. They are not quite as comfortable as my hiking boots, but are not bad at all. I thought I might wear the tread off and have to re-buy ever year of so, but the soles have held up incredibly well, unlike... I also got a pair of the "no laces-zip up" Rocky boots as well, which were cheaper, but really hard to get on/off, and worse - the tread wore away quickly (has a difference sole than the Lynx), now smooth and slick. Don't wear them anymore.

It's really good, but be warned, it does get a little warm. Some issues that made by take away 1 star - Not 100% waterproof, even in 3 inches of water/mud - Zipping up sometimes gets caught on the fabric

Bought these a year ago. Use them for fishing where I need to watch for snakes. They are very comfortable for all day walking at 80⁰ and at 30⁰. I don't know why my feet don't sweat at 80⁰, but it sure is nice. Also waterproof as advertised.

These boots are not waterproof. Water rushed into the right boot as soon as I stepped into an ankle deep puddle. The left boot faired better, but I still ended up with a wet sock, but at least water didn't fully soak into the boot. However, if you're looking for a waterproof boot, save your money and look elsewhere.

Love these so much I may get a backup pair since I wear them a lot for work. I want to point out one issue which is not a deal breaker for me. First of all they're super comfortable, very easy to get on and off just using the zip, I don't touch the laces ever. Another reviewer mentioned that the boot was tight around his calf muscles, I have large calf muscles and I have plenty of room. My issue has been: The zipper can get caught in the fabric. However, the solution to this for me has been to splay two fingers and run them up the fold, holding the interior fabric back as I glide the zipper up. If you find your zipper getting stuck, consider trying this. Other than that minor issue, A+.

Very nice looking & quality seems very good also . The left one hurts my ankle but i expected that because of an ankle injury 22 yes ago & almost any boot does it . Size wise , they fit great , a little stiff right now but that's expected with new boots , very comfortable & well worth the $$

These are fringing awesome!!! I order a size bigger to fit a waterproof inner just in case we have to walk through water at times. But for staying dry in the rain and ankle deep mud, not really test yet, so they could be fine.

Apparently they’re still going strong, into their third winter. Excellent quality and durability and still looking good. Would recommend and repurchase for sure.
