In this review, I will share my unbiased opinion on the CIVO Military Waterproof Simple Design Big Numbers watch.. =====QUICK OVERVIEW===== I LIKED + Superb readability of the face (big numbers and date) + Indigo blue colour when backlit + Backlight stays on for about 3 seconds (slightly longer than other watches) + Comfortable to wear + Inexpensive so easily replaceable a year down the line + 1-year warranty + 90-day money back I WISHED - CIVO wasn’t displayed as big (at all?) at the top of the strap - The box was as slick as Burei’s watches to offer this watch as a present (I’m being probably to harsh considering the price of this watch) ======================= INTRO 🗣️ From a young age, my father gave me his bug for timepieces: over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to buy dozens of watches from the likes of Tag Heuer and Zenith to some of the most affordable watchmakers selling their products on Amazon. Here, I am aiming to confirm if this watch is worth your consideration as a present for a loved one or for yourself. CONTEXT 💰 I bought this watch in January 2018, during one of amazon’s daily deal offers. The watch had about 450 customer reviews and a score of 4.4. I paid £9.99 instead of the regular £11.99. DELIVERY 🚚 As usual, the watch was well-packed and it was delivered quickly via amazon Prime. BOX 📦 It is a very simple, small square-shaped box. Except for the label, there is only the brand name and logo on the front. Inside, in regards to accessories you only have a tiny instruction manual, a small cleaning cloth and an international warranty card. There is no additional padding, but the watch is decently protected I guess. CIVO is obviously related to the Megalith brand (or vice-versa): they provide the exact same packaging and accessories. DESIGN ⌚ At first sight, the watch looks big and the display comes across as incredibly easy to read. On both sides of the case you will find two buttons. They are all sturdy and easy to operate. As mentioned previously, by default, the screen offers outstandingly good visibility. Additionally, you can also trigger the backlight button (top left) which turns the black font into a cool indigo colour easily readable in the dark. Please note that the watch is very light, which is good or bad depending on your taste. Here, the watch comes with a rubber strap which does the job: it is comfortable and it didn’t irritate my skin. FEATURES ✅ This watch comes fully-featured: 50M waterproof; 12 digits LCD display for time, week and date; Daily alarm and chime hourly; 12/24H format selectable, auto calendar; 1/100 seconds chronograph; EL backlight. CONCLUSION ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ For just above £10, this sporty watch offers outstanding value. This is an excellent buy for anyone who is looking for a cheap, almost disposable second watch to wear outside of work, in the gym or on vacation. Early days for this inexpensive, chunky, easyish to read watch. Instructions not easy to follow. It arrived showing incorrect time so immediately had to try to work out how to change the time. That achieved eventually by asking someone rather more tech minded, so far so good. New owner seems pleased!

Excellent quality works amazing and looks sleek and compact

I need glasses but obviously whilst in bed at night I still need to be able to read time so I needed a watch that I could read in the dark without glasses. Basically big numbers and backlit were the order of the day for me, while not spending a fortune. This watch was my choice, based both on reviews and the picture and I am more than happy I bought it. It is large, solid and chunky. It has lovely large numbers, each of the 'time' ones being 10mm in height. The face glass is 35mm wide...very easy to read in daylight, dusk and in the dark with the backlight. My only real gripe is that it follows the U.S pattern on month-day instead if the proper U.K way of day-month and I've found no way to alter this....but it it a petty complaint. Whilst it does not look exactly the same as it does in the idealised image here in Amazon, it is pretty close. The whole face lights slightly behind the numbers but it does not really distract from its use or value, and the numbers really do pop. I go swimming....do not take it off...and had no water issues or condensation problems. It is guaranteed for 2 years which was a surprise so all in all it is a perfect buy. I've bought another and despite it being so simple to set have set the second to 'winter' time so I'll just change watches when the time comes....lazy eh? So, if you want a cheap watch that looks above its price range that is waterproof, looks good, is really easy to read in all conditions and has a three-year battery life and two year guarantee...this is it!

Great watch for the money easy to read

It's not a bad watch, you can see the time clearly. but it is cheap looking and the strap is hard plastic and not very comfortable.

Brilliant watch does exactly what you'd expect. I would have loved if there was a way to charge the watch either via solar power or a charger. A good buy highly recommended.

genau was ich gesucht habe, nicht zu groß und nicht zu klein und nicht zu dick, was ich vor der Bestellung noch befürchtet habe, aber die Uhr ist für meinen Geschmack absolute nicht zu dick und man spürt sie auch kaum am Handgelenk, da die Uhr auch sehr leicht ist und die Ablesbarkeit ist einfach spitze 👍Datum und die riesigen Ziffern müsste als fast blinder ablesbar sein, die Beleuchtung ist ebenfalls unglaublich stark, bei absoluter Dunkelheit schon fast zu stark, war auch schon Baden damit, also auch wasserdicht. Mir gefällt diese schlichte, sportlich wirkende Uhr mit ihrer super Ablesbarkeit von Uhrzeit aber auch Datum sehr gut. Wie lange sie hält, bzw. die Batterie hält, wird sich noch erweisen, Preis/Leistung (für 22€) jedenfalls top 👌 ich werde sie mir sicher nochmals holen, sollte sie nach 1-2 Jahren den Geist aufgeben Update nach fast 2 1/2 Jahren. Die Uhr /Batterie funktioniert noch immer tadellos, leider ist mir aber heute das Armband abgerissen. Schade das man nicht so einfach ein passendes Ersatzband dafür bekommt. Ich bleibe trotzdem bei einer super Bewertung für die Uhr, da 2 1/2 Jahre für den Preis schon spitze ist.
