The sunshine roof on my car is not closing properly. the guide channels need lubricating and wd40 doesn't seem to work. is wurth a better lubricant?

Audi and mercedes use a krytox based lubricant for sunroof rails. It's expensive, but a more watered down source is in Sailcote/Sailcote spray. I keep a bit of both at home and find the neat stuff also works well on a old-fashioned powered raising/lowering car aerial.

Can anyone tell me if this leaves a clear see through finish? Thanks.

I have been using Wurth dry chain lube for years now having tried numerous others. It dries to a clear finish and is almost totally non fling. However, if you don't clean your chain regularly you will get a build up as with any other lube and it will look dirty. I ride a Triumph Speed Triple and lube the chain every 200 or so miles as per Triumph instructions and I clean chain and both sprockets every 1000 or so using WD 40 Chain cleaner which is very good but expensive but much less mucky than parrafin.

Just applied it to the chain. I know its a dry lube but how would you know when enough is applied?
