Have you fixed the automatic disconnection issue in the firewsre yet?

No but I not have much of an issue with disconnections. That is when my cats are not playing with cable.

I need to plug in 3-4 usb3 portable hdd's, along with memory sticks etc. has anyone experienced any issues doing this?

There are enough sockets so it should work, I've only got one USB3 device so I can only talk about USB2 drives but they've all worked fine. And as a charger it is very quick to boost my phone so I'm guessing there is plenty juice to supply 4 portable drives.

is this compatible with the xbox one?

Can you fully load the hub? i.e. attach devices to all 7 ports at the same time. I have heard that only 2 or 3 will work if you do this.

I keep this spare for USB memory sticks/external hard drives, etc. Hope this info helps :-)
