Great Linux support
Insane. Out of the box Linux support (I’m in cachyos). I had just powered on my bc-250 steam machine, opened it up, popped it in and WiFi immediately came up in steam big picture. Solid product

Using for DIY WiFi Pineapple - works great!
If you are using this for a DIY WiFi Pineapple/ ShadowApple build...let me save you some time with the issue of the card not being recognized initially. ssh into pineapple from computer while connected to pineapple via ethernet- ssh [email protected] Now fix ssh fingerprinting crap - remove offending line with provided command - then restart ssh session - ssh [email protected] then: opkg update opkg list | grep mt76 Look for something like: kmod-mt76x0u run: opkg install kmod-mt76x0u When it's done you can exit ssh and reboot the device- should show up. Hope this helps someone else. So far the card has been fast and stable for me and it's the perfect size/weight for my project.

Good USB adapter for old PC without 5G
Worked out of the box on Ubuntu 24.04 on the 5G band. The 2.4 band worked AFTER i disabled the internal WiFi in the computer BIOS.

Using it on Linux (Debian (Ubuntu)) in USB 3.0 port. Don't put too close to other antenna
When I think about it, electronics like this are an absolute miracle. - They work a million times faster than I do - They do not transmit a single mistaken bit The only problem I had was a few times my internet was just dropping out in the middle of browsing, and I had to try to get it restarted. Here is my solution: - First, just unplug this antenna and plug it back in, but ... - It seems to have made the problem go away if I move this wi-fi usb antenna farther away from the bluetooth usb antenna that I have in another usb plug nearby it.

Nice adapter
Easy install on ubuntu 22.04.3. Works out of the box on 2.4Ghz but won't log into my 5G. It see's the 5G network. It just doesn't login. I haven't tried to trouble shoot this. I get a great signal but I'm only 30ft away with 1 wall between me and the router. Haven't tried tech support.

Huge disappointment, nowhere near advertised specs
the Panda Wireless PAU0B expecting a decent dual-band adapter with a high-gain antenna. Unfortunately, this has been one of my worst tech purchases. Main issues: · Extremely slow speeds on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz · Poor signal detection – it fails to pick up networks that my other devices find easily · The MediaTek mt7610u chipset performs terribly despite being "plug and play" For reference, my internet speed test shows 48 Mbps upload and 57 Mbps download. this adapter feels sluggish and unreliable. It struggles to maintain a stable connection even at short range. I tried all the usual fixes – different USB ports, driver reinstallation, adjusting router settings – nothing helped. Save your money and buy literally any other adapter. This one is not worth the frustration. For an even shorter, punchier version (if the platform has a character limit): Complete waste of money. Terrible speed, can't detect networks properly, and the driver is a mess. The high-gain antenna is just for show. Do not buy.
