This is A proper old-school Putty Knife with a flexible blade giving it versatility in filling holes etc with more than just putty. So many modern putty knives are near ridged but this tool has a flexible blade with an ok handle. I love the handle to be wood but since the blade does all the work and the great price, I mustn’t grumble.

The putty knife is a brilliant stripper? The blade is very flexible and can slide into any patch of old wallpaper? The knife is just as good at smoothing and pushing filler into holes and cracks. All in all? You have a fantastic stripper you can smooth a crack and fill a hole.

Simple, solid well shaped knife. Handle provides good grip and cleans easily, stainless steel blade seems durable. Only slightly flexible blade. Usual Stanley practical tool.

It's a putty knife! What can you say other than it's up to the job, with a strong blade. Easy to clean.

.. to replace one handed down from my father. It is the same size and shape and the blade feels about the same springiness. The only minor issue is that the old one had worn to a feathered edge over the decades, while this has a rectangular profile. Sadly the old one was lost in the garden for a while and when found had rusted and the wooden handle warped, hence my need for a replacement.
