This cable is exactly what we needed for peace of mind while travelling. We use it to secure our kayaks to our van overnight, and it’s held up perfectly. The thickness gives it a really solid, secure feel, and the vinyl coating is a nice touch to protect both the cable and our gear. Functionality is spot on - it coils up neatly when not in use so we can pop it in our vans storage area and is long enough (4.5m) to wrap around multiple items. It looks and feels well-made, and after being exposed to rain and sea air, we've had no issues with rust so far. For the price, it offers great value for money, especially compared to some thinner or lower-quality cables we've tried before. While it doesn't come with a lock, the lock quality when paired with a decent padlock is excellent. Highly recommend for anyone needing a strong and durable cable for outdoor or travel use.

Very strong, nice and long, curls up when not in use for easy storage. Bought it for my son as part of his motorbike security kit, it's perfect as a deterrent when he doesn't want to carry his ultra thick chain. Nice reach, you csn loop it through itself to link it to something up to 2 meters away. Brilliant!

I bought the 8mm x 5m cable. Forgot quite how long 5m is! It only gets 4 stars due to how small the cable loops on the end are, they're not quite big enough to easily use my d-lock which has a rubber bit on the end of the D bit to stop water getting into the lock part. It fits, but not easily so loses a star for that, because 5 stars suggests it's perfect, which for my setup it isn't. I bought this to thread through the forks on my motorcyle and secure to a metal railing I park close to as the other day the wind either blew it over or someone kicked it over. If anything I got the wrong size though as 5m is actually much longer than I thought! However the price was very reasonable, so I will keep hold of this in case I need it for anything else. It's more than strong enough to ensure the bike won't fall over, I just have to wrap it round the railings several times to make sure that any extra length is taken up, and I have to use a lock that is a bit thinner than my hardcore D-Lock, but then like I said, I'm only using this cable to prevent the bike from falling over and it's more than strong enough for that.

A good thick metal strand coated cable at a good price.

Bought to secure bikes in my garage. Does the job and seems strong. Reasonable price too. the 5m length is useful as you can get all our bikes secured.

Excellent quality for security and feels robust.

I bought the 5 metre version, and I’m using it to secure my row of 4 different wheelie bins to metal railings. There is plenty of length to loop all 4 together through the handles and the railings, with room to spare, which means that one good padlock is all I need. It uncoiled very easily - I was a bit concerned that it might be all curled up like one of those old telephone wires - a lot of bike locks are like that - but it wasn’t. No kinks/curls, very smooth, and very flexible. Easy to handle. Yes, I know that a pair of bolt croppers would make short work of it, BUT I wouldn’t expect anyone to take that much trouble to steal a wheelie bin. The cable is a deterrent - sending a clear message - these are NOT easy pickings. Go away. So to sum up, I’m happy with it, it’s a deterrent to the opportunist thief, and I’ve ordered another for the garden furniture.

I use this cable to provide extra security for my bikes ( and use a separate strong d-lock). So far it works well BUT with the benefit of hindsight I would go for a longer version 1.5m to 2m in length which should also help with the stiffness around bicycle wheel spokes.The current length is tight when you want to secure the bike front wheel to a public anchor point using the d-lock, so an extra 60-80cm would be better and easier to attach. The cable thickness is very good and should stop most opportunistic thieves, but won't stop bolt croppers or angle grinders (only solution is to bring the bike inside a safe place!). Portability for me is fine as I put it in pannier bags fitted to my bikes. If carrying separately - it would be bulky. My rating for this security cable is 9 out of 10 - but get a longer version.

Dickes und robustes Schlaufenkabel in Markenqualität. Einzig, dass es etwas steif ist und sich etwas wiederspenstig auseinander ziehen lässt, könnte man bemängeln. Für den Preis kann man nicht meckern und zu empfehlen.

Comprata per un amico che non avendo spazio sulla sua moto, voleva una soluzione temporanea per lasciare i caschi agganciati al mezzo per evitare di portarli con se. Il cavo è molto robusto e sarebbe l'ideale anche per legare una bicicletta. Lui ha collegato due caschi integrali ed addirittura la giacca facendo passare il cavo attraverso le maniche. Un'ottima soluzione per allonarsi un po di tempo dal proprio veicolo a due ruote senza avere l'ingombro dei caschi. Consigliato. Spero che questa recensione vi sia stata utile :D
