are the tips from a walnut hollow woodburner interchangeable with this tool?

These tips were too small for my walnut hollow unit.

Would this pen work for burning handwriting into a cutting board or do I need a detailer pen? OR could I get buy with on/off pen?

I've used this style of wood burning pen on several cutting boards and it'll do the job. I, personally, find the power cord to be very inconvenient and have since upgraded to a cordless butane powered pen but nothing would prevent this pen from working on a cutting board (you'll want to make sure the oil on the board wont interfere with your wood burning or burn before you apply the oil and conditioner).

Has anyone used this tool on leather, and if so, how did it do?

I haven't used it on leather however it does get really hot.

Love it

It does come with a US plug, but don't just buy a cheap adaptor! You will need a currency converter of atleast 25W, or you will burn out your tool. Other than that it's great!!

Somehow I missed the reviews about this being a US voltage and plug! Besides the initial disappointment of not being able to get stuck in right away, I'm very happy with this product. Another £15 for a voltage converter and I was wood burning all weekend. The varied temp works great. Any issues I had were down to not knowing how slow I need to go, getting my angle right etc.

Last one use have to purchase special us adapter

Poor quality need a special adapter and it’s the noisiest adapter I’ve ever used. While I was using it the metal point tip stuck into the pen couldn’t removed took me a while to pull it away and cause the other points don’t fit into it anymore. Last one use.

Muy contenta con la compra. Me llegó perfectamente y en fecha. Ademas, el primero tuve que cambiarlo por fallo técnico, pero Amazon procedió al cambio por otro igual y funciona perfectamente. Viene con toma y potencia de EEUU, por lo que si estás en España debes buscarte un convertidor de potencia. Pero aún así merece la pena por su excelente relación calidad/precio. Yo recomiendo el convertidor MOD. P.SUP.34-HQ para 100w y que puedes encontrar aqui en Amazon también.
