I bought the holding cross for my Mam. She was seriously ill and found it comforting to hold. She loved that it was made from Bethlehem olive wood.It was good to be able to give her something that helped her cope with the anxiety side affect of the drug that she had to take. The cross is smooth and fits comfortably in the hand.I was told about them by a nurse who said that patients found them comforting. She was right.

We bought this as a present for a friend, having two myself. The size is good and the grain in the wood was beautiful, however the holding crosses that I own are set slightly off centre, making them very easy to hold and much more tactile than this one which is almost straight up. It is still a lovely thing to have and to hold but if you are looking for something that you just can't put down because it fits into your hand so well then, sadly, this is not the one for you.
