Soft cover bit of a disadvantage as it got a bit bent been delivered through letterbox.Good book for artist who works with pastels.As it was a Christmas present I'm awaiting further comments from them to whether it is a good book ,I personally think it's very good with lots pictures .A good present.

Well laid out, clear and easy to understand
I purchased this as a birthday present for my mother. It’s a decent book printed onto high quality, glossy paper. A decent length and full of colour photos explaining the different techniques etc. Easy to follow format for anyone from complete beginner to more advanced artists. I think this will be a useful book. Bottom line - as a layman I found this book easy to understand with a clearly defined layout to help artists of all skill sets. I’d buy it again.

Dla mnie, samouka, którego w starszym wieku ogarnęła pasja rysowania książka przydatna. Szczególnie inspirujący jest rozdział "Further Techniqes" łączący pastel z innymi metodami. To jest eksperyment, niespodzianka, emocje!

Il libro è ottimo se inteso come testo di primo o medio approccio alla tecnica dei pastelli. Vengono trattati molto velocemente i temi del ritratto , del paesaggio, delle nature morte, che a mio parere sarebbero dovuti essere più sviluppati. Consigliato come testo base.
