Alternative to Logitech
This is exactly what I needed! My Samsung TV has HDMI control of my receiver for TV audio, so I didn't really think about the receiver being hidden in an adjacent cabinet. However, I have been unpacking my old audio equipment and added a gaming console - all connected to the receiver. For any audio that wasn't run through the TV, I would have to keep the cabinet open to allow the remote to control volume or would have to open the cabinet to change input settings. Since I really only need 2 remotes (TV and receiver), I didn't see the need to spend a couple hundred dollars (or more) for a complicated universal remote with repeaters. This product is the perfect functional alternative! I still use the factory remote for my receiver (which I prefer since it has myriad settings), but can keep the cabinets closed for aesthetics. The setup was incredibly easy. No need for logging into a website and programming the universal remote which will periodically glitch out (at least in my experience). And its compact size fits perfectly in the cabinet alongside of the receiver. The wiring is intuitive: plug the long receiver unit cable into the input; plug the repeater module into the output; plug the unit into an outlet; attach the repeater module anywhere near the front of the unit you want controlled. The repeater's output is so strong it doesn't need to be directly attached to the IR receiver on the device (like some cheaper iterations). This is so good, I will probably get one for my AV room when it is complete. I *HIGHLY* recommend this product!

IT SOLVES THE IR COMMUNICATION PROBLEMS👍
I first bought one of those cheapo’s, A$7 USB POWERED IR blaster. It worked as you aimed your remote EXACTLY at its IR receiver. I decided to go with a high quality unit. The ENSIGEAR IR Repeater Kit. It ELIMINATES any remote communication issues‼️ This unit doesn’t care WHERE you aim your remote. It just ALWAYS controls the device it’s connected to. In my case, an Onkyo AV receiver. Both my wife and I are very pleased with this solution👍👍

Died almost instantly.
Worked for about 2 minutes, and then stopped responding to any signals from my remote. Status LED was blinking on remote button presses, but no longer. Absolute piece of junk, unfortunately.

Works as it should
Replaced a 10 year old one that quit working. This one appears well built and hopefully will last another 10 years

Works with Perfectly Comcast xg1 V4
Add my name to the list of people who bought a $10 IR blaster and found that the performance was no where near the advertised distance of 15 feet. More like 5 feet. The Ensigear Repeater was well worth the money and completely resolved the useable distance problem. The Comcast XG1 V4 is mainly an RF device with limited IR capabilities. Therefore, it does not play well with third party universal remotes. I use the Ensigear with a Logitech Harmony Ultimate One and it works perfectly on every button push. The instructions however are pretty weak and do not clearly show which side of the receiver should face forward. There are two small protrusions on one side of the receiver; those are the receiver lenses and should face the user. Although it does not come with a USB cable for power, I had a spare one lying around and use it to power the Ensigear via the USB port on the back of the XG1. This allowed me eliminate the need for the AC power adapter (which is included with the Ensigear). Enjoy!
