Is it sutible for taking videos with?

Yes, I mainly use it for videos. However, this is a starter decision and I am considering upgrade as this one is very clumsy. But if you want to shoot videos by phone that would be a good option for you.

It's spring loaded and fully adjustable so I would say yes.

Should i download app for remote control?

Nope. You just have to turn the device on and the Bluetooth of the phone. You’ll find the shutter under the Bluetooth section, select it to pair devices.
