I got these for two ceiling fan remote controls that were failing. These installed as direct replacements and the wiring was easy, I wish I could say that installing them was easy, but that is just the nature of working with a ceiling fan and no fault of the remotes. I mainly use Hubitat for my home automation, but these did not connect to that. I also have an instance of Home Assistant on a virtual machine and I was able to connect these through HA, and it talks to Hubitat. This allows me to use my Alexa to control the fan speed and light. It says it has that feature natively, but I prefer my devices to all go to a central hub.

Great for turning any ceiling fan light combo into a smart appliance. Easy to set up with minimal electrical experience. And have not experienced any connection issues. Always responds quickly!

The Smart WIFI Ceiling fan and light controller is working very well and i finally have full and remote control of my ceiling fan and its light. Installation was straight forward, thanks to the well-marked (but tiny font) wiring tags and the remote control dock (pictured) which replaced the old wall switch/plate. I wish the installation instructions were offered in a larger format, perhaps soft-copy or linked video. I also wish the Smart control Application and associated instructions were both improved and detailed. The App loaded and functions well, but only after I figured out how to accomplish tasks not detailed in the instructions. The Smart Life App interacts well with Alexa and Google Home, but the Smart Life device naming isn't 'clean' or detailed in any instructions I have found.

I have 4 of these units for different ceiling fans. Adding smart home to a fan that doesn't have it is great. I didn't have any pairing problems in the smart life app. I will say that I purchased mine at different times and the instructions are different on a few of them. In addition a few of them had the annoying beep when a setting was changed. I didn't track if the beeping units had the other instructions. The beep can be disabled in the app (oddly it was labelled 'voice'). But the others didn't have this behavior so maybe they updated the firmware. I had 1 unit fail. It would constantly turn the fan off and the light on. In the middle of the night it was annoying. It seems like the controller itself had failed somehow and would constantly trigger this behavior. I just replaced the unit and had no problems with the others. Depending on your fan it may not fit in the housing. Anyways, I think its a good device for the money.

I was using it for Alexa control, I have changed the wifi password and I can’t find a way to factory reset the device. I’ve disconnected power to it powering on-off-on-off a nothing. I need help factory resetting, I took apart the fan and there is no factory reset button.

Worked for 15 months and died. No light no fan. Replaced battery in remote. No light no fan. Won’t reconnect to WiFi so I’m guessing the receiver is kaput. Now I have to remove the fan from the ceiling to get it out. Root canals are more fun!! Probably will put a regular switch back.

This will work with standard non-smart bulbs. I am wanting to use this on a ceiling fan with smart bulbs to add dimming and color options. After hooking up this i lost control of my bulbs. They will turn on and off but their individual control doesn't work. I can mive the bulb to a different location and it works but there must be "noise" maybe interface causing my bulb to not work.

Lived for about 3-years and just died. Will need to buy another one, but not happy about such a short life span.
