As of July 8th 2023, you pay $35 to the FCC for a GMRS license that is good for your entire immediate family for 10 years. No other fees or subscriptions. Be advised that the FCC website looks and functions like it was built by sadistic 3rd graders but Midlandusa.com has an excellent walk through with current images and links for everything.

Which uhf/vhf frequencies are supported?

It supports reception on FM, NOAA, 136-174, 400-520; while only being able to transmit on GMRS

Does this have a emergency beacon or help feature with the gps? kind of how some other units can send emergency gps coords if something goes bad.

NO. This is not good as an emergency beacon since unlike say a garmin inreach it does not transmit to satellites

I want to communicate with c156.3. I can receive but i cant transmit? It says disable tx. What should i do
