Nice bit of kit to have on a camping or day out, blade size within legal uk limit to carry, accessories fit snug saving valuable space if going light. Blade is sharp very sharp, avoid getting fluids on handle to maintain easy open & closure.

I like stuff that’s been thought through, is made well and doesn’t charge you a mug price. This little set is good. I’ve had an Opinel no8 for nigh on 30 years so I now can create a knife and for set. The little cloth wrapping thing is a nice thought too.

Got this for my lad , he’s just started fishing. Opinel knives are excellent always super sharp well made got a couple myself. This will come in handy when he’s having something to eat ,fork and spoon attachment great idea .

Great little set just what I need to carry everyday in my work bag

It's an Opinel #8 so it's already as perfect as a pocket knife can get and now it is also a fork and spoon. Highest of recommends.

Acheté pour l'offrir, j'ai failli le garder en voyant le résultat en vrai. La présentation est soignée, le couteau N°8 en hêtre a ce côté artisanal qu'on ne trouve plus beaucoup, et l'ensemble tient vraiment bien en main. Les inserts fourchette et cuillère s'emboîtent proprement dans le manche c'est ingénieux et compact, parfait pour glisser ça dans un sac de randonnée ou un panier pique-nique sans encombrer. On sent qu'Opinel a réfléchi à l'usage plutôt que juste à l'esthétique. La qualité de la lame est au rendez-vous, comme toujours avec la marque. Rien à redire. Petit bémol mineur : le bois nécessite un minimum d'entretien pour durer dans le temps, il ne faut pas le laisser tremper. Mais c'est valable pour tous les produits Opinel en bois, rien de surprenant. En résumé, c'est un beau produit, typiquement français, qui a du caractère. Idéal en cadeau comme en usage perso.

As an avid outdoorsman, I have (arguably) too many knives. They just kind of accumulate. I have knives for this and knives for that. This being said, my wife and I are always on the move, and most of our activities revolve around the outdoors. I was looking for a gift for her, and I stumbled upon this set. I subsequently bought myself a set as well (see again above, where I already own too many knives). It is so handy to have this little kit, and it is convenient enough to always have along. Easily stowable in the glovebox, tacklebox, lunchbox, picnic basket, backpack, or pocket. In far too many kits of this nature, the knife is a second-rate cheapo. Not so the case with this Opinel set. Initially skeptical of the build quality, I have been nothing but impressed with this knife. I read somewhere that the Opinel design has been rated as one of the top 100 most important or innovative designs of the last century. I don't know if I would go that far, but the locking slipjoint mechanism is certainly ingenious. The manner in whick the dining ware attaches is as functional as it is novel. While the kit is build around the knife, the spoon and fork are of equal quality, as is the carrying case/napkin. The size of this knife is ideal as well. I normally carry a Case Trapper, and this knife fits in my pocket just as well and as comfortably. The handle perfectly fills my average-sized hands. Blade shape and size is perfect for just about everything, and it has become my constant garden companion. With it I cut okra, prune tomato vines, and use it for anything else one would need a knife for. Although I have not yet done it, I'm sure it will be ideal for butchering game and cleaning fish. It is not often that I am so sincerely impressed with a product.

Fue un regalo y quedo muy contento. Su primera navaja y opinel sabia que no me iba a fallar. Cortaba mejor que los cuchillos de cocina que llevaban para la semana de camping. El kit de cubiertos que se le puedan acoplar pues genial. Muy buena idea. Y sujetan muy bien por lo visto. Nada de holguras. Opinel no falla.

Everything is great about this set of spoon, fork and knife. It is very well made, easy to use and the knife is very sharp. It was a gift for my husband to take on his fishing trips and he is thrilled with it. We would definitely recommend it.
