Zoo Med Aquatic Turtle Uvb & Heat Lighting Kit

This is the second time that I have bought this set. The first time it came with my turtle tank as a package deal. It's been a few years and one of the lights has a short it in, the design doesn't really allow it to be fixed. So I bought this set, which works great and hopefully will last at least as long as the previous one did. Each light has it's own on/off switch, and it comes with one regular bulb and one UV bulb.

I purchased 2 of these. Waited almost 2 weeks to receive the product and when I did, I switched the products on, there were a couple of flickering noise, right after, smoke came out of the socket and the bulbs just stopped working. I was quite scared that the bulbs would blow up or cause my entire electrical component to fuse causing other problems so I immediately turned everything off. FYI, this happened to both of the products with the UVB Bulb. The UVA/Heat bulb just blew up after using for 30 mins and the other was not working from the very beginning. Poor Product, Poor customer service from the sellers. Highly recommend you spend your money elsewhere and not waste your time and effort in trying out this product.

I needed a combo light over my turtle’s platform area and this kit worked out great! Came with the lamp, as well as the starter bulbs. The hanging hook/handle was a bit too long for my setup, I had to shorten and re-bend the metal hook/handle to fit, so I kind of wish the combo light had an adjustable hook/handle height, or some kind of clamp option as well to be more versatile, but if your setup area doesn’t have any height restrictions then it’s probably fine as is. I ended up buying a hanging stand as well so that it didn’t rest directly on top of my partially plastic platform cover (if it was all metal mesh, it would have been fine). Anyway, the kit is a good value considering I saved a bit of money rather than buying the items separately. Only minor issue with the shipping was that the electrical prongs scratched up the outside of my lamp and I coloured it in with a sharpie. Wish they could have packaged it better for shipping, but at least nothing was broken/damaged beyond some scratches.

I've had for more than 3 years and the basking bulb just burned out today. Excellent quality
