Very happy! ๐
Really happy with this purchase! High quality machine with the ability to go through multiple thick layers. I made a handbag with a thick material and a heavy lining without any issues! The permanent threader is a great accessory!

A Sewing Powerhouse with Bonus Features Perfect for the Holidays
I recently purchased the SINGER Heavy Duty Holiday Bundle - 4452 and I couldn't be happier. The machine itself lives up to its "heavy duty" moniker in every sense. Here are some of the pros and cons based on my experience: Pros: 1. Exceptional Power: The machine motors through thicker fabrics like denim and canvas with ease, making it ideal for a wide range of sewing projects. 2. Bonus Extension Table: The bonus extension table provides extra space for larger projects, which is especially useful for quilting or working with bulky fabrics. 3. Specialty Accessories: The additional accessories included in the bundle, such as extra needles and feet, are not just fillers. They are genuinely useful and add value to the package. 4. Durability: The construction feels solid and reliable, which gives me confidence that this machine will last for years to come. 5. User-Friendly: It's intuitive to use, with a straightforward threading system and easily adjustable stitch settings, making it suitable for both beginners and more experienced sewers. 6. Speed Control: The ability to control the sewing speed allows for greater precision, especially for more complex projects. Cons: 1. Noise Level: The machine is a bit noisy, especially at higher speeds. It's not a deal-breaker, but something to consider if you prefer a quieter working environment. 2. Weight: Being a heavy-duty machine, it is quite heavy. While this adds to its stability, it makes it less portable. In my opinion, the SINGER Heavy Duty 4452 Holiday Bundle offers exceptional value. The machine itself is robust and versatile, and the additional extension table and specialty accessories make it perfect for tackling bigger, more complex holiday projects. While it does have a couple of minor drawbacks, they don't significantly impact its overall performance or value. Whether you're a beginner looking to start with a reliable machine or a seasoned sewer in need of an upgrade, this bundle is a fantastic choice.

Heavy Duty Singer
I like my Singer machine. It sews really well. The only thing Iโm having trouble with is that when I cut my thread it almost always comes unthreaded. Iโm sure itโs user error. Iโm used to sewing with a Brother machine and it is a bit more electronic than this Singer machine. I bought the Singer because I needed a heavy duty for some materials.

For the price this is a good machine that has been sewing well for me, thus far.
For a lower priced machine, this appears to be a great sewing machine. I purchased the Singer Heavy Duty 4452, which came in a holiday bundle that included the extension table and 2 extra presser feet. My two other machines have had some pretty bad tension problems. So, in spite of my brother (a professional opera costume maker and men's suit tailor) warning me to not get a lower end Singer and to repair my expensive Rickar, I purchased this one anyway. So far, I have sewn repairs on a heavy broadcloth pickleball net bag, sewn some knit fabric chair covers, taken in a couple knit tops, repaired a woven cotton/poly blend bag, and have done various other little repair projects - all with this new Singer. It has done well. Of course, I make sure to use the same thread (or at least same weight and type of thread) in both the upper and lower, made sure they are sewing in equal tensions before commencing my projects, am using newer threads as old thread 'decays', and I feed the fabric through evenly and smoothly (no bunching, or improper pinning or matching of sides or trying to twist it funny as it goes). Things I like about this machine: top loading bobbin, ease of winding bobbins, good solid needle sewing, when I lift my foot off the pressure foot the needle stays essentially where I ended it (great for sinking the needle, to turn corners, or hold the fabric in place for any manipulations), and I've gotten used to the upper knob for doing a reverse stitch (it depresses downward, so the machines stays in place - I've used a crazy machine before where the knob was to be pressed inward so I was always pushing the machine back or tipping it over), and once the knobs are all set, the sewing has been easy and straight forward. Things I don't like about this machine: there are many knobs and dials on it, without clear explanations, so I often have to refer to the manual I printed out to know which knobs and dials to turn to where to get it to sew straight, zig zag, for making button holes, etc., and there is wasted space in the sew up (it would have been very easy to have designed in storage compartments in the basic desk around the presser foot and in the extension table-but there is nothing). All in all, for the price, I give this machine nine out of 10 stars.

Singer has fallen
Well, got my box popped it open to find a machine controller, needle, foot bobbin. And a couple of advertising papers... no accessories, no table no nothing. Figuring I qould just contact singer and let them know so they could send along the accouterments later I popped it on my table hit the store and grabbed a few bits to put it to work for now... I should have just left it in the box and sent it back. Thin 1mm leather at two layers was enough to bog it down. 4 was enough to reduce it to a snails pace. At which point an adjustment screw decided it no longer wanted to turn. Sequence and plastic were enough to stop the machine dead. It's stich consistency on a simple hem was that of a 50 dollar Walmart special, after a few days on the table by the window where my other machine lived for years I notice the grey look of plastic start to discolor. So out of curiosity I tried decided to have a peek inside, it's the same frame as a singer simple which is half the price and a hunk of junk. I had no luck trying to get accessories that are supposed to be in the bundle, so I'm taping it up and sending it back to prime, and the bits I bought for it at the store can be returned and go towards and actual heavy duty machine like a sailrite or juki. Don't waste your money on this not heavy duty grey plastic turd. Even the simple things were enough to make me want to huck this thing out a window. If you want to get this machine just know you have need warned.

No rattle, just stress
The 4452 was replacing my old 1975 Singer, I printed the owners manual from online and have it in a notebook binder. Telling about each part of the machine was fine, I learned alot, though not one word about the feed dog. The hardest part was threading the needle. Now I have always had a challenge threading the needle, but threading this needles was stressful. The needle does't sit up like my old one does. Three times I got the thread thru the needle with my right hand, and every times I tryed to pull the thread with my left hand my middle finger from my right hand got spread by the needle. My old Singer never did that. I have disabilities, and was never taught to make excuses, but this threading is hard. I'll see if tweezers will make the difference. The machine runs great, it is not any noisier then my old one. The light is small and only lights up the needle area, my old one had a strong light where I could see the fabric being fed into the feed dog, and coming out of the feed dog. In all I still love the machine. There were all kind of gadgets that came with it. The extension table is my favorite, plenty of bobbins, seam ripper, foots, and extra needles. Putting the Presser Foot onto the Shank was hard. The Pressure Food was loose when I raised the Presser Foot Lifter, so I had a challenging time to get it snapped on. I am expecting the same challenge each time I change feet. I now look forward to hemming the pant, as I always have, next will be using scrap material to do log patchwork and embroidery making my own shopping bags. The price was exciting, the same as my old Singer with the same extras. I do not see that every day. The machine isn't as heavy, and looks like it does the same work. I will have fun playing with all the dials for stitch. Thank you, Sarah

Beware - come with a USA plug.
Good machine and quick to deliver, however, when I purchased the machine it did NOT state it was coming from USA, consequently arrived with USA Plug and NOT Australian - cost me $50 AUS for a power reducer from 240V to 110V.

Great practical & simple sewing machine
A well known brand - this sewing machines is great for a casual home sewing machine for odds & sods. It even does buttonholes. We just needed something robust that would last - without too many gimmicks or computer driven innards that when they go wrong it is a nightmare to fix. Highly recommended for simple home sewing tasks and will easily handle thicker material as well...
