Excellent consumer unit
Really good consumer unit , easy to wire up . I have this connected (spur off ) to a kitchen mains ring which is already protected from a mains consumer unit . I have installed this in the kitchen cupboard which provides power to the garden outdoor lighting , 4x outdoor mains sockets, swimming pool pump and a jacuzzi .. Installation was a breeze and took less then 30 mins .. The mcb's are pre-fitted so it just meant connecting the incoming power connections and then running the 16amp mcb for mains sockets and the 6amp for lighting . Overall really good unit , good value for money and would highly recommend .

Neat but lightweight.
This was purchased to replace a rusty metal consumer unit in an outbuilding. The comments others have made about it seeming flimsy are accurate, but once fitted and assembled it seems sturdy enough. Care has to be taken with the casing when drilling or tightening fixing screws. Poor features are the difficulty of removing bus bars to access the mounting holes and the lack of any holes or markings for cable access. These have to be sited and cut as appropriate. The IP rating may apply to the door, but once the fixing screws are used, there are no caps or covers for the holes in the back of the unit. This type of unit is never easy to fit and a good degree of electrical competence is required as well as experience. If you are unsure engage an electrician.

Looks neat and tidy and easy to install
Ordered this to replace the old fuse box in my home office. Run a lot of electrical equipment, laptop, Second Screen, I pad, I phone (when being charged), electrical heater, lights, printer/scanner, and in the summer a fan. Looks neat and tidy and easy to install. Very pleased with purchase.

Fiddly to fit
Like other have said the door covers the screws so ended up sliding the door off to fit and then back on once installed. Also, the busbars need to be removed to gain access to the mounting holes. On the box I got there were no "knock out" holes for cable entry or grommets. Ended up having to cut holes in the side of the box with the small circle cutting drill bit just to allow cable entry. Does not have a sturdy feel but it's installed and doing the job. I guess you get what you pay for

Great unit for small workshop.
I got this for a small workshop I wanted to set up. Im really glad I got it for the extra safety and peace of mind of th RCCB stuff. Its really decent for the price and safety is always good. So make sure you get one. Ive had mine running for almost two years now with no problems.
