Sony ILCE7KB.CE Full Frame Compact System Camera (28-70 mm Zoom Lens 24.3 MP, 117 Points Hybrid Autofocus, 3 Inch Tiltable LCD, 5 FPS, XGA OLED Tru-Finder) - Black

I bought this camera for a specific purpose. I learned photography during the age of film, and consequently the idea of manually focusing and the tactile feel of using a solidly built, metal lens still appeals. I have built up a collection of quality vintage glass, and while I could use these on my Fuji-x there was always a crop factor of 1.5 involved (as in a 50mm lens behaved as a 75mm on the Fuji). This crop factor issue could be solved by using a full frame sensor, but cameras with a full frame sensor are typically much more expensive than crop cameras. The Sony appeared to offer the best value entry into full frame sensors, however I was a bit dubious as in my eyes Sony wouldn't be regarded as a camera company like Nikon or Olympus for example, but rather as an electronics company. However in the end I went for the Sony and must admit that I'm pleasantly surprised. For a full frame sensor camera it's much smaller than I expected, just slightly bigger than my crop sensor Fuji x-T1 if at all. The image quality from the full frame sensor is excellent. However what's most appealing to me is that it has both Focus Peaking and Focus Magnification, which means that manual focusing is a doddle and I can now use all my vintage lenses at the focal length for which they were intended. The price also included a 28-70mm AF kit lens with hood which appears to offer high image quality, a great addition to have for those times when I'm feeling a little lazy or looking to capture non-static subjects. I do have a few complaints though. The manual is very poor. It's a bit bigger than my Fuji manual however the Fuji manual is in English alone whereas the Sony manual is written in 12 different languages?? This means that they are trying to cram a lot of information into a small space resulting in a lot of information missing and the print being too small. Another problem is the battery, and also charging same. This camera is no slouch when it comes to using battery power, yet the battery is pretty small due to the small size of the overall camera. This is a problem because the battery must be in the camera with the supplied charger. I've never come across this before, probably because it's a stupid idea. Why? Because if you have two batteries to overcome the high battery usage, there are situations where you would have one on charge while continuing to shoot with the other battery, but you can't with this charger because you need the camera as part of the charger circuit?? However at the end of the day I still give it five stars because of the image quality, full frame sensor, price and features all packed into a compact body, and of course the added bonus of a decent quality kit lens which is virtually a free extra, not to mention the excellent manual focus capabilities of focus peaking and zoom focus. The manual shortcomings can be overcome by checking out the numerous videos online which clarify everything, and the charger problem can easily be rectified by purchasing a cheap independent charger online. I picked up an excellent double battery charger for around £15 here on Amazon. So all in all a quality camera plus lens at a great price with a few little niggles which can easily be rectified.

Coming from a Sony NEX 5N background (which I still use and rate highly) I'm loving the EVF, weather-proofing and Menus of the A7. Still to decide which flash to purchase for the camera. The only thing I miss is the touch screen on the 5N for selecting a focus point, though it takes hardly anytime on the A7. Many years ago I used to lug around a huge C*n#n T90. The A7 is tiny in comparison. In fact it is so light-though by no means cheap feeling-that taking shots single handed is not a problem with the A7. Finding the Pitch and Roll level sensors in the camera really useful too. Sony has delivered an outstanding bit of kit, and one can only hope that the A7 gains the recognition that it richly deserves for what it is; a truly remarkable camera at an unremarkable price. I'd just like to add how wonderful the camera is for using legacy and manual focus lenses. The A7 is a joy to use with focus peaking and Pentax/Asahi Takumar lenses with an inexpensive M42 to E-mount adapter. Likewise with Leica summarit lenses, great bang for your buck/pound. Have even started using old Minlota MD lenses with an adapter. Watch those fast legacy lens prices continue to rise as people embrace full-frame and MF with this camera. Update after 4 months of regular use. Another major bonus of this camera is that it can be easily customised with the designated C1 and C2 buttons, and the other buttons and dials as well. Ergonomically I have found everything to be comfortable to use-it's feather-like compared to a D700-and the recent firmware version 1.2 update has reduced the camera start-up time and increased the AF performance. It would appear that Sony are committed to the FE alpha system.

Pro’s: - Cheapest and one of the most portable full frame cameras. - Excellent low light performance. - Superb video quality, although limited to 1080p. - Camera body and lens design is gorgeous, purely aesthetic but it feels and looks lovely. - While it lacks a touchscreen you’ll quickly get used to using the dials, which is far easier to use in the poor weather conditions, did I mention it’s weather sealed too? - Nothing beats a full frame camera with a 50mm 1.8 lens. Cons: - Poor battery life, carry at least 3 if you plan on a full day of use. - Frame rate locked to 30fps when shooting MP4, everything you want is only available shooting AVCHD, this will be a problem if you use Apple products.

excellente qualité d'image, en full frame pour un encombrement limité, la qualité de l'objectif est très bonne également, peu de distortion, et très maniable. il y a plétore de réglages à configurer pour personnaliser l'appareil, la sensibilité est énorme, l'autofocus performant, le viseur électronique très agréable. autonomie de batterie un peu juste (mais suffisante quand même pour une grosse virée photo) bref super appareil un des meilleur assurément actuellement.

Beeindruckende Fotos können mit der A7 geschossen werden, auch unter schwierigen Bedingungen, da sie sehr lichtstark ist. Durch das leichte Gewicht 750g (470g Kamera + 280g Kit Objektiv) und die kleinere Größe ist sie auch leichter zu transportieren. Ebenfalls können hervorrangede Videos aufgezeichnet werden. Das sind kurz gefasst meine 3 Kauf-Argumente. Nachfolgend ein paar Themen die mir bei der A7 aufgefallen sind… ISO: Lichtstark ist die A7, das war ein Hauptargument von mir für die Kamera; ich fotografiere oft mit wenig Licht. Da hat mich die Kamera auch nicht enttäuscht. Die Kamera liefert gute Aufnahmen bis 6400 ISO für A4 Ausdrücke. Das Rauschen ist im RAW Format schon bald ersichtlich, steigert sich aber nur langsam. Kleineres Druckformat geht bis 16000 ISO, hängt aber auch stark von der Szene ab, da die Farben leicht zum Verblassen beginnen. War überrascht, als ich mal Nachts im finsteren Raum wo ich selbst fast nichts sah mit ISO 25600 abdrückte, plötzlich ein helles Bild mit sichtbaren Farben (richtiges scharfstellen ist natürlich im vorhinein unmöglich wenn man nichts sieht). Mit der A7 greife ich in der Nacht selten zum Stativ, trotzdem wird man beim langen Belichten überrascht sein, welche Farbpracht noch hinzukommt. Wenn man die Bilder vergrößert merkt man ab 3200 leichte Anzeichen von rauschen, ab 8000 Anzeichen von Unschärfe. (Habe mit dem Firmware Update 1.02 getestet mit JPG XFINE) Manche meinten die A7 braucht mehr ISO im Dunkeln als andere Kameras, versuche haben gezeigt dass die A7 gerne die Belichtungszeiten niedrig hält im Automodus, gerne bei 120/sek, was zu doppelten ISO führt als im Vergleich zu manchem NEX Automodi. Die Kamera kann sichs meist auch Leisten, trotzdem schalte dann ich öfters im Programmmodus auf 60/sek als Standard im Dunklen. Vielleicht auch deshalb weil die Zeiss Objektive keine Bildstabilisierung haben. Gegenlichtaufnahmen (falls nicht zu stark) gelingen meist schon im Auto Modus, da zudem eine autom. Dynamik Korrektur eingeschaltet werden kann um dunkle Stellen aufzuhellen und helles zu verdunkeln. (funktioniert sehr gut mit individuellen Abstufungen) Fokuslupe: Fokuslupe funktioniert bei mir wie designed, das Bild wird digital am Bildschirm gezoomed um besser Details erkennen zu können. Jemand hat gemeint diese wird unregelmäßig autom. abgebrochen. Prinzipiell wird die Fokuslupe entweder mit Tip auf den Auslöser ausgeschaltet, oder zeitlich gesteuert, je nach Einstellung. Muss aber sagen, dass ich öfters mit versehentlichen Auflegen des Fingers am Auslöser diese ausschalte. Diese Funktion lässt sich mit 2x drücken auf den C2 Knopf aktivieren. Wie es mit 1x drücken geht habe ich noch nicht rausgefunden. Es gibt jedenfalls 2 Zoomstufen, nur leider sind dies Zoomlevels fix vorgegeben, 5.x & 11.x. Fokuspeaking: Fokuspeaking zeigt mit farblichen Punkte die höchsten kontraste, sehr gut um schnell manuell zu Fokusieren und dann in der Fokuslupe zu präzisieren. Allein mit Fokuspeaking kann ich bei größerer Tiefenschärfe sicher den Fokus treffen, bei großen Blenden wie 1.4 mit sehr kleiner Tiefenschärfe ist die Fehlerrate höher, da erweist sich die Fokuslupe als unverzichtbare Hilfestellung. Video: Die Videos bei der A7 werden sehr schön mit bis zu 50 Vollbildern pro Sekunde und sind gut scharf in Full HD. Der aufgenommene Ton in Stereo hat auch eine sehr gute Qualität (überraschend für eine nicht Videokamera), leider jedoch sehr Windanfällig, was schade ist bei der hohen Qualität. Praktisch ist das direkte Aufnehmen im MP4 format, da dieses Format gut komprimiert und somit langes Aufnehmen im Urlaub zulässt. Für das Video Drehen ist das Kit Objektiv gut geeignet, da das Bild stabilisiert ist und der Fokus unhörbar und schnell nachzieht. Beim schnellen hier und her Bewegen der Kamera bleibt das Bild “gerade” und verzerrt nicht so wie bei Spiegelreflex Kameras. Für mich war die hervorragende Videoqualtität ein Kaufentscheidungsgrund. Blitz: Leider sind die starken Sony Blitze recht teuer mit 400€+ also hab ich mir einen Yongnuo YN560-III zugelegt mit passendem Fernauslöser RF-600TX. Dieser funktioniert im manuellen Modus direkt auf dem Multi Interface Blitz Schuh der A7. Die Befestigung von ISO Schuh Blitzen hat ein leichtes Spiel, hält aber stabil. Blitzen lässt sich mit Verschlusszeiten bis 1/250, was für Indoor gut passt, beim Gegenlicht Blitzen mit Offenblende jedoch schnell Probleme macht. Die Verschlusszeiten bei Sonnenlicht, lassen sich dann mit ISO 50 & Belichtungskorrektur bei der A7 gut auf < 250 drücken. Bei starkem Sonnenlicht wird aber irgendwann der ND Filter für das Objektiv erforderlich. Mit Tele Fotografieren: Verwende eine 1000mm Russentonne mit M42 Adapter und kann damit schöne scharfe Fotos schießen. Vibrationen beim Auslösen kann ich keine sichtbaren festellen, wie von der A7R berichtet wurde. Ohne Fokus Peaking/Lupe wäre es jedoch viel schwerer möglich scharf zu stellen, das ist ein klares Plus für die A7 mit elektronischem Sucher und Fokushilfsmittel. Zwei Schwierigkeiten gibt es jedoch, einerseits kann ich beim Selbstauslöser nur zwischen 2sek & 10sek wählen, wobei ich eigentlich 5sek bräuchte, da kleine schnelle Vögel meist nicht solange still bleiben und die Kamera 3-4sek braucht bis sie aufhört zu wackeln. Hier kann man entweder auf Fernauslösung per Smartphone ausweichen (schießt jedoch nur JPEG, kein RAW?); oder die Timelaps App für Zeitrafferaufnahmen. Ein zweites komfort Problem sind noch die fixen Zoomlevels in der Fokushilfe, ich kann nur zwischen etwas zu wenig & zu etwas viel schalten. RAW: Das Sony A7 Format wird mittlerweile von ACDSee 7.1 und Lightroom 5.3 unterstützt. Rauschen, Schärfe und Belichtung und Dynamik lässt sich mit RAW Nachbearbeitung noch gut verbessern. Die Dateigröße ist bei ~24 MB. Klappdisplay & Elektronischer Sucher Das Klappdisplay sieht zwar fragil aus, hält aber stabil. Praktisch bei Bodennahem Fotografieren, wie Pflanzen oder auch Kopfüber. Die Helligkeit lässt sich recht hoch einstellen, dadurch ist das Bild bei Tageslicht noch gut sichtbar. Bei starken Sonnenlicht ist ein Blick durch den Sucher dann doch erkenntlicher. Das Display ist hochauflösend und hat eine gute Farbwiedergabe, ist nicht besonders groß, aber ausreichend. Hat auch keine Touchfunktion. Zum Fotografieren verwende ich meist den elektronischen Sucher, es ist scharf, ausreichend groß & hell. Praktisch finde ich, dass man sich die aufgenommenen Fotos im Sucher wieder ansehen kann, sehr praktisch beim Outdoor fotografieren. Bei wenig Licht wird die Framerate am Display geringer und beginnt körnig zu werden, hat wohl Verbessrungspotential, ist aber nicht so schlimm. Zum Strom zu sparen, schaltet sich der elektronische Sucher erst ein, wenn man durch in blickt, danach zeigt der gleiche an wie am Klappdisplay. Kit Objektiv: Mit einer kleinsten Blendezahl von 3.5 ist es nicht besonders Lichtstark. Die Bildschärfe ist gut, wobei es mit meiner 50mm Festbrennweite nicht ganz mithalten kann. Für Landschaften und Straßenfotografie finde ich es recht gut. Besonders zum Wandern finde ich es praktische da es recht leicht ist. Die Stärke vom Kitobjektiv ist auch die Videoaufnahme, da der Fokus schnell und geräuschlos ist. Zudem hat es einen optischen Stabilisator und macht die Aufnahme deutlich ruhiger. Portraitaufnahmen mit natürlichem Licht sind jedoch eher problematisch, da ist schon ein günstiges Setup erforderlich ist. Objektive: Das ist eine gute Frage bei der A7, es gibt noch keine so große Auswahl an Vollformat Objektiven. Ich weiche selbst über Adapter auf andere Linsen aus. Wobei ich meist per M42 Adapater mit einer scharfen & alten 50mm 1.4 Linse fotografiere. Budget mäßig muss man sagen, dass es keine billigen Sony/Zeiss Linsen gibt. Liegt auch daran dass die Sony Linsen auch scharf genug für die A7R rein müssen. Praktisch ist, dass er Weißabgleich sehr individuell eingestellt werden um auch Verfärbungen entgegenzuwirken. Brauch ich öfters bei alten Linsen damit das Bild modern kühler und klarer wirkt. Synchronisierung: Ich überspiele meine Fotos meist per SD Karte auf den PC. Es ist aber auch möglich per Apps & WiFi diese direkt aufs Smartphone zu übetragen, praktisch wenn man gerade unterwegs ist und die Fotos verteilen mag. Dafür muss aber die PlayMemories App installiert werden. Schon unheimlich bei der Kamera dass man per WLAN eigentlich Online geht als Client und als Hot Spot Server für die Fernsteuerungs Apps agieren kann. Die Reichweite ist aber auf wenige Meter beschränkt. Zielgruppe: Ich denke mobile Enthusiasten & Ambitionierte Amateur/Hobby Fotografen werden wohl das Zielgebiet sein. Könnte mir vorstellen dass Profi Fotografen ein Problem mit dem aktuellen Linsensortiment haben könnten. Da nicht für jedes Einsatzgebiet die passenden Linsen zur Verfügung stehen. Zudem ist die Ansteuerung von Studioblitzanlagen auch nur mit Drittherstellerprodukten möglich. Einen redundant speichernden SD Slot gibt es auch nicht. Kurz erwähnt, das Geräusch vom Shutter ist bei der A7 wirklich kernig, aber macht Spass abzudrücken. (mit e. Front Curtain Shutter eingeschaltet, ist aber Standard). Kann schon sein, dass man dadurch in stillen Momenten auffällt, aber so laut ist es auch wieder nicht. Abschließend gesagt, mit einer scharfen & lichtstarken Linse kann man mit der A7 geniale Fotos schießen, die mit einer anderen Kamera nicht so einfach und oft gar nicht nachgemacht werden können.

Lo mejor del mercado actualmente, eso si, tienes que tener algo de buen pulso dado que la estabilización viene de parte del objetivo 3 ejes. O alguna corrector de estabilización de esos que venden para estas cámaras, espectacular. - No hubiera estado mal incluir algún tipo de flash integrado, seguro que entraba en la cámara. - Pesa poco, me quedé sorprendido. - Faltaría lanzar algún objetivo más completo tanto de cerca como de lejos, por ejemplo algo de 20mm-hasta-120mm por ejemplo (lleva 24-70) - Batería se agota - En mi caso, grabación de Boda, vídeo constante a los 9 minutos me puso mensaje de que estaba caliente la cámara y esperara (sol de 35 grados) pasaron 30 segundos y volví a usar la cámara. - Muy buena calidad, pero lo dicho, con el objetivo para macros de 5 o 10 cm no sirve. Esta cámara con un objetivo un pelín más completo bestial. - Un objetivo un poquito con más iluminación ya sería brutal - Por ejemplo la RX100 III tiene un objetivo mejor, mas luz entra (precio de 1500e), la camara pesa mas, pero no tiene el sensor de esta que es brutal. - Fue un acierto en mi caso pasar a los 35mm.

Pochissimi scatti, macchina tenuta veramente bene e molto funzionante sono molto contento la consiglio a chi si avvicina al mondo della fotografia.

La Sony a 7 è una buona macchina fotografica, fa davvero quello che deve fare e non delude mai. La consiglio se si vuole iniziare ad approcciarsi al mondo delle Full Frame senza spendere moltissimo nel corpo macchina. L'ho utilizzata in feste private senza flash e nonostante non c'era molta luminosità ambientale sono riuscito a scattare con 5000 ISO senza perdere eccessiva qualità e senza dannarmi con l'auto-focus, con il flash invece rende davvero molto bene ed escono foto spettacolari. Per la batteria invece, ahimè, si sente che è piccolina ed utilizzando la macchina fotografica assiduamente, la carica dura non molto (circa 2-3 ore max) ma fortunatamente questo è un problema che si può risolvere tranquillamente comprando un battery grip, in modo tale da rendere la macchina fotografica più professionale, con una presa migliore e raddoppiando la durata di utilizzo. Inutile che elenco e paragono le mancanze che ha rispetto alle sue sorelle maggiori (come batteria migliorata, auto-focus migliorato, registrazione video in 4k, ecc.) Il mio consiglio è: se venite da un'altra Full Frame, vi suggerisco di considerare l'acquisto della Sony a7 III (o altro), se invece, come ho detto all'inizio, venite da macchine fotografiche con sensore APS-C e quindi vi volete approcciare ad una Full Frame, l'acquisto della Sony a7 fa davvero un salto di qualità notevole.
