This is a great chopper/dicer that has super sharp blades, is very simple to use, is a breeze to clean, and is very sturdy and durable. I didn’t realize how handy this thing would be. I wish I had bought it long ago … it’s a real time-saver! Definitely recommend it!

I do meal prep one day per week and was tired of the tedious cutting of vegetables and nuts with a knife. I originally contemplated the Slap Chop but after reading many reviews I chose the OXO Good Grips Vegetable Chopper. It hasn't disappointed. I've chopped shelled walnuts and almonds, celery, apples, carrots and even prunes. Everything chopped well although the prunes became a rather sticky mess which made for a dangerous cleaning with the sticky prune residue stuck to the very sharp blades. The cleaning was made safer by soaking the blades in warm soapy water for a few minutes and just rinsing. The size of the pieces are determined by the number of times you push down the plunger. It's much faster and safer than using a knife which feels ideal for when the kids want to help with meal prep or for the elderly who are starting to lose grip strength for holding a knife. The cleaning is to easy. The whole chopper easily breaks down into 5 parts for cleaning and can be reassembled in about 15 seconds without the need of tools. When it's time to store it you just push down the plunger and twist. It's now 1.5" shorter. OXO did a wonderful job making this kitchen tool.

What a wonderful chopper. I hurt my hand and need help chopping vegetables. This one is great. Chops onions in small pieces and is easy to use and clean up afterwards. I found this is also time saving which has been helpful. It is well made. Very happy with this purchase.

Some things chop better than others. Smaller pieces of carrot and celery, for example. Easy to clean. I would give 5 stars, but the arthritis in my shoulder hurts if I chop too many veggies one after another.

I love this manual chopper, the blade design chops up green peppers and onions into small pieces for cooking, small like we like, not big long pieces like using a knife might do. It's easy to take apart and rinse. I've used it so far by removing the bottom lid and setting the chopper over my veggies on a cutting board and lightly slap the black handle repeatedly to chop to my desired sizes. It's kinda fun to use to as I see the veggies being chopped into smaller manageable pieces. However, if you use this on frozen, stuck veggies they are harder to cut. I did not want to keep slapping because I don't want to break it so give your veggies a few minutes to thaw outside the freezer and chop away. this was well worth the money! Oxo makes really good kitchen products. It is small enough to stick up on a shelf out of the way. I do not have a lot of storage space so that works well for my kitchen set up. Caution: the blades are definitely sharp though so use with caution

The BEST Kitchen item I have ever purchased! Maybe the best purchase I have ever made on Amazon. I roast potatoes and carrots for my dog. I make a large amount in each batch. I would chop the potatoes and carrots by hand using a sharp knife. It would take longer to chop the potatoes and carrots by hand than it did to roast them. After making a batch I said that there had to be a faster way to do this. I thought back to an old nut chopper that my mother had and wondered if they were still made. I went on line and found this item. It is not the same as the old nut chopper. It is far better. After purchasing the OXO Chopper, the time it took to chop the potatoes and carrots was reduced by 80%!! I could not be happier with this chopper. It comes with a container that houses the unit and a removal bottom so you can dump out whatever you have chopped. I find that the best way to use it to take the bottom cover off and chop the Cs and Ps on a cutting board. That allows me to quickly move the chopper around and to put even more under the blade to be chopped at one time. When you depress the striker, the blade comes down and when you release it the blade comes back up and turns slightly. This is a great feature! Cleanup is easy. It disassembles and can be placed in a dishwasher or washed by hand. Again, this OXO Chopper is great!

This vegetable chopper works as intended and does a decent job chopping vegetables quickly. However, I found that it has more parts than I expected, which makes cleanup more time-consuming than I'd like. While it can save a little time during meal prep, having to wash all of the individual pieces afterward takes away some of that convenience. It's not a bad product by any means personally thought it was just okay and not something I reach for often.

Well designed food chopper that has a lock option and easily disassembles for cleaning. No more cutting fingers trying to wash a chopper that can't be disassembled.

Great device for chopping all sorts of vegetables. I hope they can do a slightly larger version .
