NLT Gift and Award Bible, Blue

I really love the NLT translation but the text is painfully small. Literally. If you have very good vision or maybe are a bit far-sighted then this could probably work for you. My eyesight is pretty decent (not 20/20 ofcourse), it's not too farsighted with a little astigmatism. Still, the text is very small. It caused my head to hurt at first glance. I want to use it, but I have to give this away. I'm disappointed but I still recommend this translation, especially to new believers.

Nice size and easy to read

Lovely quality Bible, better than expected for the price too. The text is quite small and there is no room for notes. I have added the tabs in the photo, it does not come with tabs just to be clear. The paper is not the traditional thin white paper, it is more like the paper you see in Novels just thinner...but it does feel a little thicker than the traditional white paper. If you are a new Christian, there is also a space for you to write your name, date and time. Overall I am very pleased.

Easy to follow and text size is good. Keep going back to this one even tho I have many Bibles and English isn't my first language.

Of all the Holy Bibles on sale, from wherever, I prefer the hard bound large print modern versions such as the NIV, the NASB, the NKJV. The large print helps us to read and to recite. Even so, modern Holy Bibles have a short amount of width space between the pages so we bend back the pages to see the text. Far better to provide a width that's double what we get nowadays just to see the text better. Some Holy Bible students buy different translations to learn what the translating variations are. We can't please everybody and some errors are quite odd and the opposite of Church doctrines. So we buy what we can and study when we can and search Google for extra info as well as Amazon reviews and study books, too. The OUTREACH VALUE Holy Bibles are obviously cheap to buy but we still need to read the text so that's why some of us will buy translations we haven't heard of before. Different book covers, paperbacks, hardbacks, discount deals, Amazon discounts, too. Just buy a variety even if to complete a minimum order value of £15 or £20 and so on. Check the low to high price option and then check the FONT SIZE such as font size 10 or less. If buying for children then check the modern versions as well as the illustrated Holy Bibles. This particular item is a gift item so check for that term HOLY BIBLE GIFT PAPERBACK or HARDBACK...

Bought this for my husband, he says it fantastic much easier to read and understand the Bible in depth.

Its a bible nothing less of 5-stars should be given. Maybe the translation (English) might be a bit hard to understand and you may then have to get the NIV. I also like the accounts it gives about the creation. Get it and base your life on it, SIMPLES

I grew up using a KJV Bible with the cheap bonded leather and that lasted me a good 20+ years until the binding started falling apart. At that time I replaced it with a NIV Life Application Bible, which is a combo of a NIV Bible that I use in Bible Study, along with a life lessons/applications. I rarely open the Life Application Bible and the reason is because it is a hardback book. I enjoy reading and what I love about this paperback version of the Bible is that it is paperback, so I can sit in my awkward position and comfortably contort this paperback book to my needs. I enjoy reading my Bible and hope I never lose that passion, but having a version that I can hold like a book means that I have a version (and translation) that I may read like a book. I'm not going to mark the Holy Bible anything less than 5-stars unless it were a poor translation but I do wish that this, or a similar styled Bible, contained red-letter. On a plus side, I found out today that using a Pilot G-2 pen to underline will not fully leak into the other side of the page. I haven't used a highlighter yet but think I'll be okay since the G-2 didn't leak through. Yes, the font is small and fine but I have good eyesight so it's not an issue for me but can see how it may be an issue for others. I hope this review/rant helps you to choose, or not choose, the right Bible for you.
