Mavala Stop Formula for not Biting Nails

I've been using it for about 5 days now after biting my nails for 30 years. I decided I really had to stop because of the pain when I bit them too much and my thumb hurt for 2 or 3 days. The varnish dries, so the flavor takes a second or 2 to activate, but then it lingers for a good while and serves as a punishment for putting your finger in your mouth. It's not so bad that you couldn't power through it if you really want to bite your nails. But it definitely does the job of reminding you not to. I havnt bitten mine since I ordered this. It also lasts through handwashing, but obviously if you need to give your nails a good scrub you'll need to re apply it. Or if you need it to be full strength you might need to apply it 2 or 3 times a day. I've got by once a day so far and nails are starting to grow

This is absolutely excellent stuff, my nails keep breaking and it certainly stops me nibbling at those ones

This stuff tastes horrid which is good because it definitely does its job! But the taste does transfer when you eat finger food so I had to remove it from the nails on my right hand. But due to having the polish on my left hand nails, it naturally makes me not want to bite the nails on my right hand, so I guess it depends on your willpower too

I have tried other anti-nail biting solutions but this is by far the best product. It isn’t gloppy nor does it wash off. It is so fine it leaves a coated shine that last for a few days even with washing. Buying it from Amazon was at least £3 cheaper than in the store

As a 69 year old lifelong nail biter, I can confidently say that you are very unlikely to bite your nails if they're coated with this stuff. I've had good nails for many months but as soon as I start nibbling I have to re-apply. You also have to be careful when eating or preparing food because the yucky taste transfers easily. Having said that, the product works very well and I would recommend.

This stuff is meant to put people off biting their nails. Well, for me I was barely able to taste it, so I wouldn't say its a particularly good deterrent.

I'm 34, autistic and have bit my nails and skin around the nails for as long as I can remember. I remember as a child I used this other stuff, it was bad but nothing like this so would continue to bite my fingers. 34 years old and I finally find something that makes me think twice about biting my nails, it's so bad I can literally taste the bitterness if I pick food up with my hands (even though it's on my nails!!!!) bad if you love food like me, but also great if it's one of the hardest habits to kick, you won't want to eat with your hands but it saves your fingers from being munched on 😂

I am so impressed with this product. My son has bad nail biting habits and I had tried everything and didnt work. As soon as this arrived I applied one coat on his nails straight away and the reaction I was very pleased by. As it tastes nasty he would put his finger near his mouth and the best part it doesnt wash off and will last 2 days. So although it seems its not much of the product but it will last as you dont have to apply daily and the effect last for 2 days. I am really pleased with it and would highly recommend it

Una vez puesto, queda como un brillo de uñas normal. En las instrucciones po e que te lo renueves cada dos días, pero dura más que eso. Sabe horrible, y el sabor inunda toda la boca. Cuidado incluso al llevarte comida a la boca con las manos, porque puede saberte amarga! En definitiva: mis uñas agradadecen este producto, pero mi estómago no tanto 😅

Ottimo. Mangiucchio le unghie da quando ho memoria di esistere. Spesso le ho devastate, aspettando diversi mesi per rivedere l'unghia integra. Attualmente su tutte le unghie ho di nuovo la parte bianca (non so il nome tecnico) quindi super approvato. UNICO DIFETTO: è abbastanza "solubile", dunque se mangiate qualcosa con le mani, come un panino o finger food, anche se non entra in contatto con le unghie, un po' si sparge anche sui polpastrelli, dunque al palato vi arriverà il sapore sgradevole. Quindi consiglio di, anche se "strano" per il tipo di cibo, di mangiare con le posate

Très efficace, les ongles durcissent bien et le goût est très mauvais, pas de danger de ronger ses ongles lol

Worked like a charm! Put it on my 3 year old’s thumbnails (very quick drying) and she stopped sucking her thumb immediately! She did cry a little that first night when she tried and it tasted awful, but it hasn’t been a problem since then. We didn’t have to reapply because it worked so well, but it lasts at least 4 days on a toddler. Even on an adult who is good at washing his hands it was very bitter and strong 2 days later when eating wings. (Yes, she made dad get his nails painted too)
