Rod arrived on time, packaging was not damaged, however, when I unboxed the rod I found broken eyelet pieces and the largest eyelet was bent as if it was stuffed into the packing tubeTook rod out for only its second trip today as I bought it the end of last season. I’ve caught one average pickerel on it last trip. It sleeps always inside in my yak attack rod holder where nothing goes near it. Today while casting a 3/8 jig and small creature bait the top foot of the rod broke off. Must be bootleg or made in china junk. Something isn’t right I would never ever buy another one. Paying for a name is all it is

Waiting on baitcaster reel to arrive to actually test it out.

This was my third attempt to purchase this Shimano Rod. The first purchase was the correct Rod but it broke with the first cast. The second Rod I received was for a spinning real and was wrong length. The third rod was not even an SLX. It was the much cheaper Simitar and was 8’ 6”.I’m done with this crap
