Silk Dome Tweeter | 3cm Voice Coil for Clear High Frequencies | Professional Audio Speaker Component

I needed a replacement for a blown tweeter on a vintage Wharfedale 507/2 speaker but could not find the right one online. Took a punt on these hoping they'd fit and was pleasantly surprised to find they are an exact fit. I bought a pair even though I only needed one as mismatched tweeters are not good for sound quality. They are very good tweeters and sound as good if not better than the originals. These speakers were considered quite high end when new so to find modern tweeters so cheaply that sound perfect is a major win. I am quite fussy about sound quality but I am delighted with these tweeters. Very well made and amazing value for money. If you're considering buying these, just do it. When you see them you'll be pleasantly surprised at the quality. Thank heavens for Amazon.

Ordered this as a replacement tweeter for a 45 year old Kef Celeste III (Type SP1107). It fits exactly into the recess in the speaker cabinet, it just needs drilling holes for the 3 screws to mount the speaker in the cabinet. Whole job took me only 20 mins. It works and has (to my ears at least) an indistinguishable sound to the origial Kef tweeter, although I am not a hi-fi obsessive. The item looks very similar to the original and just as robust. I hope it continues to work for the next 45 years, by which time I shall be 115.

They work perfectly well, but as a replacement for KEF T27 tweeters they don't really cut the mustard. That said, they're cheap enough to use for non critical projects.

Decent price

I noticed someone had used these to replace tweeters on a vintage pair of Kef Concord speakers and had really good results from it. I replaced my tweeters on my Kef Celeste IV from the same era, early 1980's. Like the other buyer stated, these sound even better than the original tweeters. They must just be a really good match somehow? For the price and performance of these with these speakers, you should look no further. They have improved the overall sound quality considerably. I nearly payed x3 the amount for other tweeters and so glad I didn't. Don't be mislead from all the audiophile jargon other buyers will use to make you pay more.

Replaced tweeter in a centre speaker system for AV system. Was larger and seems more efficient and accurate than the original. Great price too.

I bought this to replace a dead tweeter on a KEF Cantor II speaker. The fit is perfect and it looks similar. The sound is better than the original tweeter on the other speaker which is still working so I've replaced that too. If you need tweeters don't be put off by the low price. These are great for your average music listener. Maybe an audiophile would be critical of them.

I had aquired a pair of Eltax Symphony 6.2 speakers, one of which had a blown tweeter. Eltax has spares of the Tweeter (item no. 03074, 25mm soft dome, 8ohm for Symphony), in stock, but the price was injurious, and the postage would have doubled the damage to my wallet. These QTX silk dome tweeters were the closest match I could find to the physical dimensions needed. As, at circa £8.50, they were such a reasonable price, I bought a pair, rather than have a mismatched pair of speakers. The results are excellent. Of course, I cannot speak for how the speakers sounded before, but they are very accomplished with these tweeters in place of the originals. Physically, they are a drop in fit, except that the terminals are arranged to the sides, instead of both at the bottom. This necessitated about 5 minutes with a rasp, to modify the MDF cases so that the units dropped into place, and the holes matched up. Excellent quality, excellent price.
