This thing is great. Perfect for camera setups with the short length. I like the metal construction, it makes it feel and look more premium. The price is really good too. I’ve never had any problems with speed or connectivity. The ports are super strong too.

Perfect for my portable monitors which inevitably never have the HDMI ports in the position you need them. No signal, picture, resolution or other compatibility issues. These or something similar are almost a must have for travelers or situations where you will be moving/disconnecting the monitor a lot. These adapter dongles provide some amount of strain relief which is important for the many off-brand portable monitors out there with questionable build quality. For the price, the quality is superb.

I bought a folding monitor for my laptop when I travel. The HDMI and USB cables stick out the side of the monitor and would eventually take a toll on the monitor connector port. The monitor port is also mini hd, and this being a right-angle connection it's secure and out of the way. No brainer buying this if you have the same issue.
