Are these insulated enough to play in the snow?

These are made of the thick Carhartt material, but they are not at all insulated. They would also get wet if the child sits or kneels in the snow. They are not like snow pants that will keep your legs dry and warm. I live in Upper MIchigan and I use these for outdoor play in the fall and spring.

These are listed as "boys" overalls. are they ok for a girl? we're not looking for pink.

These would be okay for a girl as long as you will be happy with a wide leg cut. They are absolutely adorable on my 3 year old son, we sized up to 4T so that we could get a longer use out of them. I think if you sized correctly they would be just fine for a girl.
