Simply connect a satellite cable to your Digital Satellite Receiver, and connect the other end to the Satfinder's (To Rec connector). Then connect the cable from the LNB attached to the Satellite dish to the (To LNB connector) on the Satfinder. Make sure the Satellite Finder is properly connected. Plug in the AC cord and turn on the Satellite Receiver. There will be a Slight reading on the scale of around 1. Make coarse dish adjustments by setting Azimuth and Inclination. Set the reading to around 5 on the Satellite Finder by adjusting the Level Control. Adjust dish position, feedhorn position and polarization to have the highest reading on the finder. If full scale, reduce the reading by turning the level control counterclockwise. Remove the jump cable and Satellite Finder. Resume connection of Satellite Receiver and LNB. No power is needed to operate the Satfinder as your Satellite Receiver provides the power needed. This Satellite finder also has audible indication, that will constantly beep when a signal is detected.
