I have been researching Taurine since my girl, Suzy, was diagnosed with Dilated Cardiomyopathy just before Thanksgiving of last year. She is a Black Labrador Retriever and is currently being kept alive by Vetmedin, Enalapril, Furosemide and Taurine every 12 hours, along with Fish oil once a day. She gets frequent check ups by her Vet Cardiologist and seems to be doing so much better! One night her symptoms just came out of nowhere to where she was coughing so violently and having such difficulty with breathing that we had to take her to the Emergency Vet. They said her heart was so large and left my husband and myself heartbroken when told she may only live up to 6 more months! We are so lucky to have found such a good heart doctor for our girl, who seems to be improving while fighting this heart disease! I hope we can soon wean her off of her prescribed medications and just be able to stick with the Taurine and Fish oil supplementation, along with chicken and vegetables incorporated into our girls diets. We have been giving her sister the Fish oil and Taurine as well. This site gave me even more hope today for our girls to live a longer, healthier and happier life! I notice the sellers saying they are not vegetarian but the bottle says they are vegetarian/vegan.  There answers were from 2015 and they are now using veg capsules so maybe that is is something new.
